Hello all, I'm kind of a newb paradox..i played this game in my younger years a few times and fell in love with it, but lacked the funds as a teenager to really get into it. But as an adult now ive realigned myself with the idea of getting into this and have begun to get a chaos marine army together along with sucking a good buddy into playing the tau. Anywho I would like to do a slaanesh themed army but have no idea where to really begin or whats worth using and whats not. I'll list my current fig inventory below and please keep in mind that my buddy and i really only have enough plastic to field 500-600 point builds.

1 lord
22 chaos marines
1 helbrute

thanks

Well Things that are best to use as Chaos listed below.

Chaos codex

Chaos supplement "crimson slaughter"- gives you access to powerful weapons and warlord traits

Hqs-abbadon-typhus-basic chaos lords-basic chaos sorcerers.

Elites-chosen- just because of the special weapons they can take, though they are worse then PM who have better T and can be troops-chaos terminators, best ten in min squads with combi meltas for anti tank deep striking.

Troops-cultists for swarms-basic marines for all purpose-PM for all purpose cost more then basic marines, but are 100% better at it all, can only be taken as troops if a chaos lord has the same mark-noise marines, long ranged anti infantry butchers, only troops if a chaos lord has same mark.

Fast-heldrakes good at everything other then killing AV14/2+ armour spam

Heavy-oblits good at everything best with MoN or MoT-forgefiends are good at shooting but can die fast and suck at CC-maulerfiend lacks shooting but is fast and can bog down units, is also very cheap-chaos land raider, only assault transport plus it has TL lascannons

For your current model count I can build you a list if you wish, just PM me.

Also for any more info just ask.

Well a Slaanesh CSM have these strengths:

Initiative 5
Sonic weapons
access to Feel No Pain on every squad

I'd grab some sorcerers, noise marines, rhinos, heldrakes, heavy support to start out. I'd suggest havocs, stock forgefiends, or obliterators for heavy support.

Also consider daemon allies, especially with Unbound lists coming out soon, you can take all sorts of crazy stuff.
