I know it's early, and we don't know evetything about 7th, however with all this psychic & unbound talk, I wondered what army, or forces, you see as becoming the army on top of it all?
I assuming Chaos, especially heavy on uber characters and units full of psychic abilities and items.
Does this spell doom for, say, Imperial Guard, Tau, and or Necrons?

Still eldar. Their jetbikes alone are now the best troop in the game with their 48" move and the new objective secured rule. Everything scoring also doesnt hurt unkillable things like waveserpents and wraithknights.

I don't know.
From the rumors, part of me thinks the changes to Psykers might actually nerf Psychic powers.
If its true that (a) psychic powers can be countered, and (b) using psychic powers becomes a more risky endeavor, than it seems to me that Psykers might become somewhat of a liability.
Guess we'll have to wait and see how it all works out.

Tau and Eldar. I am not seeing assault getting buffed as much as shooting. Snapshots at BS-2 you say? Overwatch becomes twices as effective.
Summoning daemons you say, im sure divination gets buffed to match, and if it doesnt, eldar has it's lores.
CSM is a terrible book, with terrible units that just dont work. Unless assault units no longer need grenades and transports, this will not change. CSM will still be stuck with their terrible god psykic lores, no matter what the BRB has.
Daemons might get powerful, or things might just get too random.

Same with Orks, BA, DA, Necrons, still some other softbacks out there too, correct?
Seems like any army that got a weakish harback 6th edition codex ( CSM and Tyranids to my knowledge) will be the most screwed.

With the random objective deck I see mobile armies getting a boost. If you need to get to an objective, or issue a challenge somewhere over there, non-static armies have an edge.
Of course, Eldar are already good at this, as are SM bike lists. So I’m not sure how much this is going to impact the rankings.
We need to see the whole picture before anything gets finalized.

So, would you say for example, a Dark Eldar army with psychers and lots and lots of reavers (unbound) would make for a good army for 7th based on what we know so far?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I'd have to agree. For every rule we've seen so far that might help one army, there could be another rule we haven't seen that will hurt that same army.

Unless there is some serious nerf to FMCs we aren't seeing I'm excited for daemons and nids. The supposed snapshots at -2bs hurts a little bit but I think the single grounding test (hopefully still 3+) at the end of the phase makes up for that. Sphess Chikin' always has a d6 re-roll up his sleeve anyway.

With the deamonology coming out, Deamons IMHO will be the top dogs. Choas Marines will get a much needed boost from this, but will in no way make it to top tier.
With some of the rumors I've heard many of the top tier list will still remain top tier.

Tyranids will benefit the most, but will still not be top. Too armies will be Eldar and Guard, thanks to cheap Psykers and good troops. Tyranids and Tau will be 3rd and 4th, while Daemons round out the top 5. Of course, I could see Daemons going anywhere from 1-5, depending on how summoned Daemons interact with Codex Daemons. Daemons could very well be number 1 with new FMC rules and Psychic boosts.

Its all speculation. The biggest changes I've seen are unbound lists and rules favoring taking lots of psykers. So, I see
Tzeentch FMC spam getting even more stupid
AM Tank commander Punisher spam
Being two strong lists. As for me as a thousand sons players, I see that getting stronger but certainly still not top tier.
