You can’t just take empty pods. Need to take them for squads.
Check your points, your first two squads are identical, yet are priced differently.
Being the faithful Ultramarine that I am, I strongly advocate 10 man tac squads with both the special and the heavy. Part is fluff and tradition, but I find it still works for me. There are two different CT doctrines that mitigate snap firing the heavy, and you probably won’t be moving after the drop.
You are spamming MSU, which can work. You don’t have a lot of firepower, so will need to play to the objectives carefully.
I would swap at least one of the flamer tac squads for a duel flamer assault squad in a pod. This way you get the same amount of fire all the time, and the sarge gets to keep his bolt pistol for the extra attack. And you get it all at 5 man, so there is space for a HQ in their pod.
I think you might be overspending on the sarges, but I’m cheep like that.

This could work...but 4 FMCs, one per squad, will be a problem. If your opponent has a powerful CC squad or unit to attack each one of your squads, you will have problems. Keep the power weapons, you'll need them for MCs or deathstars.

Its 1k points, not many death stars or FMC except from nids who can take some flyrants, woohoo.
As for the list drop all the special gear and take some heavy weapons, if you combat squad them you will have 10 MSU so objectives are held but you need to target anything with a lot of shooting first with the melta pods.
As for is it scary or loltastic, depends on the army, I would say with some refining this list won't have to many problems (mainly due to melta pods) except by a WAAC person who throws down a transcendent C'tan with a few warriors and bare bones lord.

I feel like you have very limited capabilities. Swap out some heavy weapons for a heavy bolter so you can throw some wounds into the enemy.
Oh yeah.

Ah, sorry, the extra pod is for tiggy. as he can count as his own unit, but I just leave it empty. (doable iirc)
the points are right, I just forgot to swap the first tacs back to the proper displayed price.
sgts- I have had sgts work wonders for me with my BA lists, but I see the point, I will take a look at the assault squad.

Tiggy cannot take a pod by himself, only units that have the option for a dedicated transport may select one.

Honestly, Tigurius doesn't do anything for you on the drop... yeah once he's down it's great but his squad is going to be the first target for sure, and if he's not down on turn 1 then he's really not helping... I don't necessarily like him in this list.
Some feedback on the pod contents:
- Melta bombs are good, take them on whatever you can.
- Drop the vet sgt, that's points better spent on weapons. who cares if you run, you'll auto regroup. plus, you don't have much mobility, so a free few inches is not bad, huh? lol
- Try to get a nasty close combat unit on the ground that they have to fear or deal with so your troops aren't dead the next turn. Usually most lists like this have a beastly HQ or close combat squad that draws fire away from the tac squads so they can have a solid round of shooting with any heavy weapons the next turn.

I would. But you might wanna wait til 7th edition in a week because Tiggy may be able to use powers on the drop.. We'll see! Puppet master or divination buffs out of a pod, yes please! We'll know soon enough...
