I'm wanting to build a MT list, and I feel like the best way to go about it would be to utilize deep striking as effectively as possible. So, augur arrays- the unit that is deep striking won't scatter as long as a vehicle with the augur array is within 6" from the deployment zone. Sounds great, but the problem is the points cost. 25 points for just one augur array! Is it worth that much?

you also have to think about if you really want your vehicles that close to the enemy so you can take advantage of that no-scatter deepstrike radius. this sort of things works great on a biker unit, but on a tank it's a bit riskier.

Yeah, that's another thing. The vehicles that can carry the augur arrays are fast, but have an armor value of 11/10/10, so I'm not sure whether or not I should sink even more points into them to increase their survivability.

The hellhound can take it giving you 12/12/10 and that tank has to be quite close to the enemy anyway?
I was thinking about a ccs and two vet squads in chimeras so when the stormtroopers drop you can give them the fire and move order to spread out?
