I have been searching the internet for a few different pieces to augment my Cadian Shock Troopers into veterans and have developed a few questions.
The three pieces I have been looking for are heads, leg armor and some kind of military backpack.
I found some heads that I like -
http://www.pig-iron-productions.com/hd15-system-trooper-head-sprues-p-47.html?zenid=a0fc101b2d9a48480ccb8b3a9515642e
Only problem with these heads is that they are 28mm as opposed to 25mm by GW. Does this mean they won't fit/look right on Cadians?
I haven't found either leg armor or back packs yet. Can someone point me in the right direction for either of these?

Pig Iron heads fit Cadians just fine.

Warhammer miniatures are 28mm "Heroic Scale" and tend to be bulkier and chunkier than other 28mm scale miniatures.
A quick search brought this up:

So yes. They should look fine on Cadians. As far as backpack and leg armor I can't help out too much though.

I use pig iron heads for my guard and they fit in perfectly.
Here is an example of the head that you want to use.
and here is an example of another type of head on the cadian body.

Thanks for those pics Guarder22! That first helmet is what I think I'm going to go with, it looks great.

I used those exact same heads for my guardsmen and they fit perfectly. GW is 28mm too

These are nice for Vets and fit Cadian torsos just fine.

Or you could use GW SM Scout legs.

Personally I think the system trooper heads are a touch too big for Guard, but they are certainly no worse than the GW heads in terms of scale
Pig Iron also do a range of futuristic packpacs and pouches:
