Hey guys,

I'm looking to use a variety of kits to make a 10 man Honour Guard unit, and was looking for suggestions on which kits I could/should combine to make a good looking unit, full of shiny gubbins and generally looking awesome.

I will not be using the sternguard box sets as I'm not a fan of all that cloth.

However, I'm thinking this;

Tactical Squad kit - a base on which to work.
Grey Knights kit - for all those power weapons/cool helmets/couple of other bits.
Sternguard squad - for the shoulder pads, othe power weapons and other cool bits.

Perhaps the command squad as well, so I can get the banner?

Suggestions are definitely welcome. Also, any forge world suggestions would also be welcome

Strenguard are ideal gfor bits, tons of combo weapons ornate armour and shoulder pads.

Also robed bodies,

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Sounds bit like a zombie's shopping list for new body parts lol

But they'll look really good by what parts your planning on putting together

Look into FW's MK IV Emperor's Children upgrade heads, just released. They have the slanted visor and top knot that suits an honour guard perfectly.

Check Anvil Industries and Spellcrow for robed bodies. I like Anvil Industries because they deliver quickly, have many options, and have excellent customer service.

Lots of axes, Ultramarine Honour Guard weird the Axes of Ultramar. Except for the Ancient and Chapter Champion, the former having a short sword, and the latter welding a the Honour Blades.

If you want your HG to be close combat orinted you might want to look into the Vanguard kit instead of / in addition to the Sternguard one. Lots of power weapons and blingy shoulder pads plus some cool heads.
