Right I love the tau, and don't get me wrong I love crisis suits. However, I'm just a bit bored of them, so are there any ways out there to make a really good tau list without crisis suits?

Honestly, its one or the other, you got no real anti-tank outside of it, railheads do not count as thier single shot tends to flop too much to be reliable against large numbers of high-av targets.

If you want to risk it there are always EMPs and Outflanking kroot auto cannons.
also Stealth suits with fusions.

its not really "good" but im sure you can make it work.

FW warrior gun lines, piranhas, Railhead with Longstrike and Skyrays for AT/AA duty.

You can make it work it is just a very different army list. If your group runs Forgeworld a punch of skimmer tank upgrades become possible that really reduce the need for suits.

Replace your Crisis suits with Riptides if you still want to be strong or Stealth suits if you want to be less competitive.

Piranha spam can be really good anti-tank if you load them all up with Fusions. 3 full squads is a huge roadblock that you can use to funnel troops towards your fire warrior/hammerhead/skyray gunline. 3 full squads can also drop off metric gakton of drones that can be seriously annoying and add that extra punch. In combination with Broardsides with marker drones and skyrays or sniper drones you should be ok for other sources of markerlights away from the FA section.

I've alsways wanted to try this but i've always just been too in love with my all suit army to try it out.

15 piranha? thats a hell of a lot of speeder-sized models lol. Even the 5 i field tend to clutter up the battlefield.

Expensive too...~435USD before shipping and tax. Almost as bad as 3 full Broadsides lol.

Have to admit though, that's 600pts + however many fusions you brought to bring 15 AV11/10/10 models PLUS three 10man drone squads. Talk about a gakton of firepower rofl

Max Pathfinders with Ion Rifles will toss out 9 to 18 S7 shots or 9 S8 shots.
Hammerheads might not be great, but with a trio, you can threaten AV14 pretty effectively, and how much AV that high do you see?
Massed sniper fire (kroot) can also put a point or two of damage on AV12 or less.
And then, EMP a few units just for giggles.

Hammerheads also have the Ioncannon, so it wouldnt necessarily be 3 anti tank vehicles. Ioncannon is still pretty lethal, S8 AP3 pi plate after a gets hot test is good in my books.
