Hello. I've been plogging on Warseer for a while, yet it seems that plogs over there (even ones a lot better than mine) don't get much in the way of comments. I like comments. Feel free to post any old thoughts you have on here.

As the title says, I have Chaos and Skaven armies for Fantasy, and I've just started a mixed Imperial army for 40K. My big thing is kitbashing and converting plastic models, as far as painting goes I'm only so-so. So for a bit I'll just show some of the stuff from my Warseer plog, feel free to chime in any time, even if just to say hello.

Warshrine of Slaanesh

I'll post more a bit later. Look forward to hearing from you!

Holy crap, that warshrine of Slaanesh is a complete abomination Looks damn original, great work mate. I just feel the body on top of the stone thing could use some more shade on it, it's so filled with holes and crevices but they don't look dark.

Thanks mate, you're probably right about the body, I might come back to it later. Here's my Chaos Giant:

Feel free to chime in.

Love the throwback slaanesh warrior , he's in my collection.......somewhere , probably in some deep dark corner. Also loving the squished person under the chaos giant, much love for the old models.

Time for some 40K. I've started an Imperial Guard army and am also making an Imperial Fists army, a Sisters of Battle army and an Inquisition force. Depending on how 7th ed changes things, these will all ally together all over the place. I also have an Imperial Knight in its box, making my fingers itch.

Here's my first PCS. My Regiment hails from a world where the officers are from a noble caste, trained from birth to lead.

Thanks noobbomb, certainly gives me a boost!

Just to prove my hobby ADHD, here's a mockup of my IG's allies, some Imperial Fists.

Lt Grekko looking a bit outclassed, there.
The method for this comes from a tutorial by a user called Doghouse, so props to him for the original idea.

Plus a commissar with his chainsword in the extreme foreground:

While I should be painting guardsmen, instead I made an Immolator conversion for my upcoming Sisters of Battle:

Obviously still WIP. Got to figure out what to put on the back bits.

Finished my first Infantry Squad:

Made a Techmarine for my Imperial Fists. I got a bunch of metal shoulder pads off ebay, I intend to use no transfers at all. Had some 'fun' making this guy: I thought my craft knife was getting dull, so I changed the blade and immediately stuck it in my finger. Once I staunched the flow of blood it was time to cut some plastic - until a curly little offcut flew directly into my eye. After ten minutes of fishing it out in the bathroom mirror, it was back to (tentative) work. Quite happy with him, he'll be manning my Thunderfire Cannon.

I've finished a whole platoon! Have to say getting into IG has really got me working again. Anyway, Red Platoon, who are the guys modelled to be 'attacking', have a PCS and 3 Infantry Squads done. The proof:

Red PCS

Red Squad 2

Red Squad 3

The HW teams from the squads

Close up on the missile-carrying backpacks

And all my squads have platoon-coloured squad markings on the back for when there's a big ruckus and I have to tell these mooks apart

That's a great paint scheme. Your pics are a little blurry, though. Might want to try using the Macro setting on your camera to combat that.
