With the exception of the new Psyker Phase, new psychic powers, cleanup of allies chart, and normalization of Escalation rules into regular 40k, this really doesnt look too different than 6.0

6.5.

6th was a fundemental overhaul to the game adding warlord traits, challenges, alies, hull points, psychic tables, AP to close combat, etc.

This is just more tweaks to that model which makes it 6.5 rather than a new pardaigm of 40k which I would think of as 7th.

The new Psyker Phase does look fun to me, though. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

7.0

My Eldar army will get shifted due to jink saves and armor penetration table.

My Necrons will not be affected too much.

Jink rules are an improvement I think....pay a price for that cover save! I think making vehicles tougher to blow up is a good thing too.

I think its fair to say if you liked 6th, you'll like 7th, and if you didn't like 6th, you're not going to like 7th either.

7, for a couple reasons.

This screws with the mechanics of CSM armies at a level where it can really only be considered a new edition. We now suck in new ways.

The changes with FOC make it a very different game. There is something distinct about being able to have my bikers and raptors all blown up at the same time.

Defintly agree with the latter since it so much a 6.5 release if you hated 6th you'll probably still hate 7th. I've played since 3rd and 6th has been my favorite so I'm in good spirits for this release.

4th to 5th wasn't that radical of a change... it looks like this will be similar to that transition

It's a low blow to all gamers as they basically ask full price for a product that was not playtested and has been rushed out to increase sales.

From whats been reviled. I think its ok not tooo much has changed except psychic phase, and anything else that changed isn't very relevant to me.

I give it a angry neckbeard out of 10.

Be'Lakor with invisibility and the Grimoire of fate casted on him by his reliable sidekick Fateweaver.

Just as tough as the Screamer star, perhaps even tougher.

Jump into things and murder them, go nuts, they can't hurt you.

Hell, take on Abaddon and Skarbrand at once, you'll still win. It's only a matter of time before the Daemon Prince of Chaos undivided triumphs.

Bow before the one true champion of Chaos.

There should be a rule where if this happens you just remove both units off the table and move on with your lives.

that actually made me lol.

7th hasnt even been out for a day and people are already coming up with builds that make 6th's stars look tame by comparison.

unbound, unlimited FoCs and daemon summoning fluff rape are the final nails in GW's coffin.

Two units with invisibility and one guy with a 2++ save continuously slapping at each other to no effect turn after turn after turn.

It's like watching two screamer stars trying to kill each other only somehow even more amusing.
