I registered an account simply so I could warn people - do not do business with Total Wargamer. I know the discounts are tempting, but don't do it.

Just look up 'Total Wargamer problems' and you'll see what I mean. I had one good order from them, missing one item, which they promised a refund for (I never got that refund). After that, they failed my next order completely, lied to me, and ignored my attempts to contact them. I had to get a chargeback from my bank.

I'm not alone in this experience. Dozens upon dozens of people have reported the same. Go do business with honest, legitimate businesses. Not these thieves.

They are an awful company.

Go to Darksphere instead, they do a good discount and have never let me down yet.

It's been "on" for the past 2 years now.

Total Wargamer always offers 30% off, but you have to wait 3-5 months to get your products.

Glad you all brought this up to warn people then as it could of meant a con for others too. I have not bought from before and usually go to darksphere but that tempting 30% could of drawn a few people like me into problems.

Theres only a few examples of people getting an ok service with them, but yes like the others said, stick with Darksphere, I also nearly bought from Total Wargamer, but made the right choice in seeing what fellow Dakkanauts said about it first xD

Total wargamer often advertises themselves as a GW store, and yet anyone who buys GW product from them finds them to be much worse with GW product than non-GW product. I'm not happy

Shame that there's a catch when a company always advertises being much cheaper with discounts than others. Usually that catch resulting in being crooks. How are they still in business then???

Had a terrible time with them - ordered almost £300 worth of GW models off them, nothing showed at all - 3 months later was forced to get a refund

There are rumours floating around that they are going to lose their right/license to sell GW products

I hope that's true, because removing the GW adverts would be just what they need to get their reputation they deserve.

Can echo other people's sentiments here - service is absolutely shocking, orders take multiple months to arrive. Not a good experience.

I had good service from totalwargamer up to the middle of last year, then everything went to hell.

In October I ordered some stuff, turned up in December after a lot of emailing and promises that they were "restocking this week".

Ordered some more in early January, got fed up of waiting by the middle of March and it took six weeks (and again multiple emails) to get my money back.

I will never buy from them again.

Wow this company feels like a experience ride from hell. If GW have stepped in to confirm this about closing trade with them then it's a proven fact these guys are bad news.

Not that would of made a difference after the experiences of the posters above.

Still shocking they have been allowed to run this long I say

That Facebook page displays some staggeringly poor literacy skills. Not meaning to have a pop at the chap but if you want people to take you seriously you really should spell correctly.

As for TW i am about 50/50 orders wise with them, one order i had to get refunded as it took so long but my Space Marine order i placed when the codex came out was fine.

Ill second Darksphere are superb though. Fast and efficient service. I keep meaning to check out their shop sometime.

Take TWG, turn it sideways and...... well, we all know the rest of the saying.

I recommend either dark sphere or element games. Good, fast and more importantly honest service (plus with element you receive 'reward crystals' meaning savings)

It's a shame though that Darksphere - at least when it comes to shipping to mainland Europe - stop offering the cheap unrecorded delivery if your order has more than 2 items and then your cheapest option is the signed for delivery for like 20 pounds.

Darksphere for me is the top of the chart followed by element games. I get my paints mostly from EG and models from darksphere. They are fast on delivery but me being in London makes it easy for me to go and pick them up from just a bus away in Westminster.

I can't fault them, in any way these 2sites are really the best officially.

The only time my eyes open to anything else would some biid on eBay which hardly anyone has swooped upon or sites like TW which advertise super low deals but have no intention to take orders seriously

I browsed their store and they are also offering several 40k items at 30% off but they seem to heave lots of stock problems.

Personally I think wayland is the best.

Element Games are 1% costlier than wayland's default discount and do not offer free shipping above a certain total.

Firestorm Games are even more costly and do not offer free shipping above a certain total.

GIfts4Geeks has a better discount than Wayland, but again, no free shipping above a certain total.

So Wayland comes out on top. Darksphere is better than Wayland if you live in the UK only.
