Hey guys (damn, it seems like I'm posting alot lately). I'm sitting around tinkering with my army list and a thought occurs...

I'm currently loading out 2 LRCs with 15-man crusader squads, and I figured, why not attach a Techmarine to each? Keeps my LRCs running, and the Servo-Harness has extra weaponry.

I like the idea on paper, I can't see the downside (bar a combined 150 pts for 2 1W models with no invun.)

I'm tempted by the Master of the Forge, but points-wise, I'd have to drop my uber-killy chapter master; but much like WFB, 40K seems to be more about cohesive armies, as opposed to taking 1 uber-character.

What do you guys think?

It’s an idea with potential. But the problem comes with what else could you be doing with those points? While I don’t know how well you fare on the table, I find that my LR usually survives long enough to deliver it’s cargo. And they just got a little sturdier in 7th.

I don’t think it’s worth the points. I’d rather use them to get another tank, or a pair of speeders, or something with some bang behind it. But in a CC army, don’t sell the techmarines short. While not CC blenders, they are packing powerfists and a 2+ save. Hidden in a unit, they can still cause some pain.

Just don't shoot his bolter prior to declaring a charge since it's not an assault type weapon.

Techmarines usually work well with Redeemers as you need to get super close to do its job and the Techmarine - if he remains inside - can repair lose HPs.

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.
