I have some ideas rattling around in my mind for a diorama/armies on parade piece involving an Imperial position being overrun and I was considering using these as dead bodies:

Does anyone have any experience with that sort of thing?

The basic idea was a bunch of those as casualties laying in the mud, half covered in it, in a large trench section with some weapon emplacements and a group of Emperor's Children having breached the line and massacred them.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I think they look a bit too stiff to be casualties; you'd expect the arms to slip to their sides and the guns... well... someplace other than perfectly shouldered.

1400 points of EW/MW Italians (FoW)
2200 points of SoB and Inquisition (40K)
1000 points of orks (40K)
Just starting out with Ultramarines (30K)
Four 1000-2500 point forces for WHFB (RIP)
One orc team (Blood Bowl)

Agreed. I think normal Krieg infantry squads in attacking order would be a far better option. They have their weapons in a fighting stance so would look more realistic in death rather than guys who'd look like they've all been knocked out while on sentry duty. You'd get more dynamic 'death' poses out of them.

Also, you could mask any holes/gaps between limbs when you pose them by just covering them in mud asif they've 'sunk' into the ground when they've fallen. Noone would ever know.

Speaking from experience these guys are not real easy to separate & require a good amount of gs work to restore one you do so. As such they're good filler to bulk out the ranks of your normal infantry squads for much cheaper but not worth it as casualties tbh.

Thanks for the replies guys, I might just have to look into the charging ones.

You could use these guys as conscripts, they look just like any twelve year old cod player would charging into the fray not actually knowing how to use a gun.
