Here is a variation on my 6th edition crons (and IMO was the best list I could play in 6th). With 7th the list actually gets a bit of an improvement as I can add more Spyders and the flying monstrous lists arent as scary as 6th.

HQ
Immotekh
Chrono Tek
Flamer Tek

5 Warriors
5 Warriors
5 Warriors

5 Deathmarks (Scythe) (2 flamer teks)

3 x scarabs
3 x scarabs

3 x spyders
3 x spyders
3 x spyders

Allies
Lord (W. Scythe, Mind Schackle, weave)

3 Haywireteks
1 Veiltek
1 Flamertek

5 Warriors in scythe

3 Spyders

The list should be balanced enough to handle anything. I would consider Zahndrekh, but Ill wait and see how prevelent hit and run deathstars are.

Out of my Mind

1) Allies list has to be different Faction from Main list. If you want a 2nd list, then you just need a 2nd CAD. Just shift 5 Warriors into the 2nd list and it's legal.

2) Courts from different Detachments can't join units outside of their own Detachment. (FAQ) So the Dual Flamer-Tek in the Deathmarks is a no-go, unless you go Unbound.

Other than that, looks like a Scarab Farm and probably wont do all that well if your group starts hitting the Maelstrom missions.

The list will do fine in Maelstrom missions, as the never ending scarabs will either stop the opponent from getting to the objective in the first place, or be contesting objectives where there are no objective secured troops.

Battle forged lists are likely to include lots of dedicated transports, which the scarabs are perfect for dealing with.

Having said that, I would personally swap the scythe to the warriors and would swap Imo for Zandrekh. The Imo to Z swap is because Z allows you to bring in the scythes on the opponent turn, which is huge in a maelstrom mission. Also, scarabs with furious charge are nasty.

The change to nightfight has reduced Imo's usefulness somewhat.
