It would have been nice if it was something like Marked Psykers suffer only suffer perils on double 6s while summoning as long as the summoned unit is of the same god as the mark. Summoning a unit of a god different from their mark results in perils on any doubles, as normal.

I think this is a great idea. A Sorcerer with the Mark of Nurgle, for example, I don't think should suffer the full Perils of the Warp risk by attempting to summon Plaguebearers.

This could even be applied to the Daemons who hate eachother (Tzeenth vs. Nurgle, Slanesh vs. Khorne). So, a Herland of Slaneesh would suffer full Perils of the Warp risk if they attempt to summon a unit of Bloodletters.

I think I'm gonna try to get my gaming group to houserule this, I like it so much.

Yep. Looks like an excellent rule to me. Making Chaos Sorcerers better at summoning Daemons than Eldar makes a lot of sense.

Also puts a tiny nerf on the most brutal Daemon Factory build (Tzeentch Heralds summoning loads of Nurgle Daemons).

Thanks to Khorne's silly "no-psykers" restriction, it seems that the Daemons of Khorne are once again SoL.

But this is sensible for other Daemons.

Heh, glad others are having similar thoughts to me.
When I heard the 7th rumors this was the first thing that sprung to mind (well, along with Dark Apostles should be able to summon daemons)

This train of thought actually encouraged me to begin working on my CSM codex update again...

GW pathological hatred of assault is almost as intense as their boner for the fear USR - Paraphrased from Blaxican.

Ergo, Khorne, like Assault Tyranids, Blood Angels, Melee Orks and the like is kindly invited by Jervins Johnson to go feth himself.

This rule in its essence....adopted by our club tonight. Thanks, eric99!

Is it just me who thinks Sorcerers should not have the full Perils risk at all when using Malefic?

They are pretty experienced with the stuff.

I think that Dark Apostles should be able to summon daemons of their Mark as if they were a psyker (but not actually one). Bloodletter gettin' some lovin' from Khorne DAs

This is more an idea to address the short coming to daemon summoning against Khorne but would generally apply. I think Chaos champions should have a chance to summon daemons in place of or as some part of the Chaos boon chart; daemon type restricted by mark.

Khorne I would say should get some sort of rule to nudge their roll to this based on the number of models killed that turn.
