I just noticed an odd discrepancy in my IG codex. In the unit descriptions it says that the wargear for Conscripts is Lasgun, Flak Armor. In the army list, it lists wargear for the Conscripts as Lasgun, Flak Armor, Frag Grenades. It's not listed in the latest FAQ, and I haven't seen it mentioned before. Anyone care to hazard a guess which entry takes precedence when they're both in the same codex?

RAW, I suspect that because the army list lets you add to the unit description, yes, they do.
RAI, Not sure. In the past they didn't have frags, but GW does change things. Also, what Kel says below.
HIWPI, No, because they haven't in the past.

It'd be nice if they'd FAQ/errata it, but AFAIK they didn't for the old Eldar warlocks and spiritseer.

The unit descriptions often do not list all of a unit's wargear, I always go by the armylist entry

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

I'd say they do. Unit description was probably a lazy copy/paste from previous codex. Not that it makes a huge deference to the unit to be honest...

Shooting, no. CC...I think if you're charging a unit of Boyz through terrain, getting 100 attacks before they swing is kind of important.

I think if you let 50 conscripts charge you then you deserve what you're about to get...

That works out about 7 wounds vs T4, Sv6 right?

Nope, hit on 4s, wound on 5s, gives about 16 wounds before saves

Hit on 4s wound on 5s averages to 42 wounds if they have hate and shred from a priest.

25 wounds if the priest fails his leadership test for shred.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

The priest is worth adding to conscripts for the leadership boost alone, imo. The super cc boost is a nice bonus.

getting all 50 into btb is really easy when going through terrain.

Yep, sorry, my bad.

50 x 2 is 100 not 50.

7 x 2 gives about the right number after saves.
