What do you guys use to store/ transport your models?

If you feel you have a particularly unique system please show pics.

Nothing that unique, but I already have pics in my galley, so might as well post them.

Store: Bookshelves.

Transport: GW case, random case full of scraps of foam (or pluck foam if I’m moving calvary around for WHFB), and a Kaiser 3 and extra KRU which pretty much makes the previous two cases redundant.

I magnetize the bases and carry them in a metal tool box. Keeps them from clinking around and so much faster/easier to pack up than foam trays.

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.

Genghis Jon, what size magnets do you use on your bases? That sounds like a really good idea.

I use the ModiFX 4.75mm magnets because they are the only ones I've ever bought. They fit underneath the base without sticking out. I use one on a plastic model, but I need like two for my metal ones, especially my 2nd generation Stormboys.

I put mine into plastic tackle boxes. Try to keep them packed tightly to prevent movement, pad them with foam from blister packs and plastic bags. There's often some incidental damage, nothing a little glue can't fix. As IG, I don't have the patience to neatly pack all my models.

Shelves. LOTS of shelves. Wall shelves and shelving units.

I recently winnowed down my models a bit, so my space issues aren't that critical any more, but i could still use another room for storage.

Transport : a mix of transport cases and wide, deep, stackable trays with lids.

KR cases, for everything.
For one thing, it means I only buy new models if I can fit them in a box. If a box overflows, I have to wait to get a new box, and no more models until it's turned up.

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.
