Painted my ADL Calban Green and I wanted to use Typhus Corrosion and Ryza Rust on it around the edges and bullet holes. Anyone had any experience with these on a paint that wasn't leadbelcher or any other metallic color?

I did some Typhus Corrosion work on the cloak of a Chaos Lord. It turned out well for that particular effect, but it's pretty messy on normal paint.

I mostly paint whatever is going to get the rust treatment with black->metal then I do a couple of layers of typhus and a rough dry brush of the ryza. It should work fine over anything though, especially if you use more than one layer of typhus. The underlaying brown portion of the rust will be a little different depending on its base, but the orange will be the same.
Essentially, it should work fine. As long as you get the dark brown plus orange, it should look like rust.

It would work, but wouldnt look realistic imo.. Painted metal doesnt rust.. The metal underneath rusts.. So id paint metal on the edges in a chipped/worn effect, then rust that, or put the rust layers down first and use salt method to apply the painted layer. This is true, sometimes rust affects applied after painting can seem a little odd, but it is doable I think sponging would work quite nicely as that gives it a good sort of cracking effect on the paint without being a difficult technique. In terms of more advanced techniques, I really like salt weathering, pigments/powders.
id also suggest perhaps a chipping solution? Ive seen some awesome stuff does with these but ive never had any first hand experience with them.

Yeah i know what you mean, but salt technique leaves such a sweet look, and its so easy! Ive never used chipping fluids.. Dont wanna pay for them when salt method works fine

Typhus corrosion makes a really great wash for tank tracks [metal or otherwise]

^^ my thoughts too
my only issue has been that (or atleast im pretty sure its this) is that the salt will cause any magnets to corrode. ive also had some problems where the salt when peeled off has taken off both the varnish and the colour beneath! gah! but im sure thats just a little inexperience on my end. However, it does give some damn good effects! ala my favourite model ive done to date:
Although I think the issue might have been that I did the salt technique twice. Once to get the rust onto the metal colour below in a rusty way, then again with the paint job on top. giving it a 3 level look. Which was also a little time consuming. Might just stick to one level of rust. perhaps I could put down a metal colour, wash it toa rust look, add some powders (I also am a big fan of powders since trying them - get a £2 box of soft pastels from amazon, crush em up and your sorted..... or you can pay the £5 per pot of 1 colour that gaming sites charge......) and then varnish and salt the paint job over the top.

Thats some sweet effects there! Airbrushed? I wish i had more big models to try some effects with my airbrush. But as i dont play, only model/paint, i have no real need for big pieces.

LIAR! LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!
Ofc you need big models! how else does one do airbrushing! i find it so hard on smaller models your challenge sir is to buy a big model and airbrush it to your hearts content! BAH! even if you just sell it after to save space, its awesome fun

I have a soul grinder that i base coated with the airbrush, but my airbrush skills arent good enough to finish the model. Might try a posessed tank or something.

I've fallen in love with Typhus Corrosion and Ryza Rust. For tank tracks or rusty weapons, I prime black, paint gunmetal, wash with Typhus, dry brush Ryza, then lightly dry brush a little bit of gunmetal.
