Hello,

I have recently bought from ebay.co.uk a 1 (actually number 34) in 500 released, first run collectors edition set of minutes from Kingdom Death, called Satan; to commemorate the companies successful kickstarter campaign.

However, upon receiving the miniatures in the post (apparently unopened according to the ebay description) found that the previous owner for some reason tried the elongate the staff of one of the two models, also since the model is resin the staff is quite flimsy and easy to break. A link to an image of the model assembled but not painted available on the Kingdom Death Website is pasted below:

http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0265/0051/products/satan-m-1_1024x1024.jpg?v=1398702489
(Could anybody tell me how to add an image to the forum as I could have added that than including a URL to the image on another website).

The model has been elongated with a similarly cylindrical shaped piece of plastic towards where the head of the staff seems to connect to the rest of the staff just below the spiked decoration below the head. Unfortunately despite that, that same piece of plastic seems to have snapped of during transit, but luckily not damaging the model and only the elongated area.
As I have already stated the staff is highly flimsy and am wondering how I should attempt a repair; also what type of glue should be used without damaging the resin staff?

Thanks to all those who have read my post.
Regards,
ProtonHawk.

You can just add an img tag around the link, if it liks to an image. Simply select the link and press the Image button.

And simply gluing is probably not strong enough to fix this. I'd advice pinning. Carefully drill in a small hole in both parts and glue in a wire. Just make sure that both holes align properly.

Thanks for your reply, but as I said the staff is very flimsy and also very thin, I'm not sure if I could find a bit size that would not damage the staff while drilling it, even with a hand drill.

Its still a good idea though I will have to look around and see what I can find.

Pinning is pretty much the only option for such a thing.
You will needa get your hands on some really thin gauge wire, perhaps even piano wire and the right size drill for it. i think you will be looking for a nice micro drill. though iv used them and they snap if your not careful.

you could just attempt to super glue it if you are leaving it up in a display forever.

Thanks for your reply, upon inspecting the model a bit closer I feel that it is to risky to attempt a drill, the staff is just to thin - I may just have to carefully cut away the elongated area and try to glue it back together.

Has anybody got any idea's on a good glue that will not damage the resin and provide a strong hold?

As strange as it sounds have you tried emailing the guys at Kingdom Death to get their feedback?

As for glue to use Super glue will be fine otherwise a two part epoxy.
