Does anyone have any experience with the dreamforge stormtrooper backpacks? Specifically, I'm looking to see if anyone know how well they migt fit on a cadian. Thanks!

No sorry but I recently used Kromlech ones for my vets, I did however use their armoured torso as well.
Apparently Victoria miniatures have compatable backpacks.

I was looking for something a little more high tech looking than the ones they offer. I like the ones from special weapons (the rebreather backpacks) but they are a little prices. The nice thing about the dreamforge ones are that they are about a 1/4 of the price.

Stormtrooper backpacks will fit on a Cadian torso (with the rectangular bulge sliced off the back) but un-modified they have to sit quite high on the back.
The curve on the sides of the backpack matches the arms but the top of the backpack almost touches the collar on the back of the torso.
If you need the backpack lower down the back you'll need to use quite a lot of filler. It's quite do-able though.
I can provide pics later today if you need them.

I have both so here you go:
It matches really well imo scale-wise. You might want to greenstuff a little as the backpack is curved to fit to the Eisenkern torso, not the Cadian one.

These pics show the backpack higher up the Cadian torso; little to no work is needed to fill any gaps, but the backpack sits quite high up on the back:
Depends on the look you want to achieve, I suppose.
The backpacks are an excellent fit width-wise on the torso, by the way. I might keep some backpacks aside and cast some more for IG use as well as for the stormtroopers.

Thanks so much for the pics. They are super helpful. I think I like them up high on the back. It's a very interesting look. Plus I am pairing them with the custodian heads from Victoria miniatures so I think they will go together well.
Automatically Appended Next Post: When the backpack is in the forward position does it allow room for a head. Its hard to tell in the pic of even a regular cadian head would fit.
