So with the new Astra Militarum orders, unless I'm mistaken, we can have Basilisks Batteries ignoring cover. With an Inquisitional Detachment consisting of two 25 point Inquisitors we can have six 3 point servo skulls, each of which having a 12" Radius that prevents enemy scouting and infiltrating, and reduces scatter by 1d6, all for just 68 points. This seems like a synergy that is too good to ignore. Especially now that night fighting is only shrouded, and not 'can't target things more than x" away.'

I guess the question isn't 'should guard spam pie plates?' but how many pie plates can be spammed without sacrificing flexibility?

You can't give orders to a vehicle. You can give orders to an artillery platform from FW. However, technically codex IG no longer exists so you can't use those units at all.

The servo-skulls are freakin sweet though.

Orders are issued to non-vehicle units, so ignores cover basilisks are out of that combo.

Blast. I guess the two CCSs will have to order each other, using the MoO and mortar that they each have.

You can give orders to fw artillery units which include earthshakers, medusa, thudd guns, sabres, and rapiers.

With minimum range changed medusa is better than earthshakers.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

You can give orders to yourself, so you do not need a second CCS to make your MoO ignore cover

However, since the MoO is ordnance barrage, there's a good chance the opponent wont get to take cover saves anyway.

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

In ruins they will. And now that Blasts hit all levels of buildings, ignoring cover there will be good.

I can't see any but the douchiest of douches enforcing "there is no more codex: Imperial Guard"

Just be aware that two Inquisitors will not earn you many friends. As much as I hate inquizzy in general, can't fault IG taking one of them

I'd be taking them for the skulls and anti-psyker properties exclusively. Ordo Hereticus with Psyocculum and Null Rod in a blob, scouted up with the liber heresius to hold the line. BS10 FRFSRF with fourty or fifty lasguns is something that would be amusing.

If you email Forge World, like I did, they'll tell you that to treat all references of Codex: IG as Codex: AM instead.
