Out of my Mind

I know there have been threads on how beastly that Barge can be as an individual model, but it's a huge investment for something that's not going to do much beyond being able to survive. Gauss or Tesla on the Immortals? I prefer Gauss if they're going in. If you're just taking the unit to get a cheap flyer and running it empty, then Tesla.

I'd recommend dropping either the 2+ or the 3i, generally one is good enough. Find out if/how your TO is going to rule on the Phase Shifter working while shooting at the Barge. Not everyone agrees on the rule. Also drop the Res Orb. Even if/when you make the roll to get back up, you're only getting 1 HP. If it goes down in shooting, you've probably lost the Quantum Shielding bonus, so won't be as effective if that happens. If you've gone down in an Assault, then it's going to be really hard to place that model within 3" of the marker and outside of 1" of the unit that took it down, which will kill it even before you get to make the RP roll.

9 Deathmarks is great, and with the points freed up you can probably even get a 10th in there. Another good use of some points if you can shift it around, is to get 2 Destructeks for those units in the Barges. It'll give you some long range, and a little extra Tank punch if you need it.

I would try to find a way to get points for Mindshackle on the Overlord. Maybe drop a warrior or immortal

Mindshackles took a small hit in 7e, at least where challenges are concerned. Not sure how effective it'd be with such a large model.

I would drop one of the ghost archs in favor of more warriors in a giant blob of 20. I have played necrons primarily for years and have never seen anyone completely destroy a 20 man backed up by ghost arch, aside from sweeping advance. Without any bubble wrapping inf you risk melta or other antitank on your squishy open topped vehicles.

Other than that it looks solid.

I usually play a 20 man blob with a OL with 2+, 3++. Trying something different.

List looks good.

Couple of suggestions :

9 deathmarks seems a little of a waste. I'd suggest either 5, or ten in 2x5, because you get to mark 2 units. One of the units would be pure DM, so you could ethereal intercept in a maelstrom mission.

However, I'd dump the Immortals scythe, make them tesla, and use the points to get a veiltek and a stormtek (remaining points to adding the extra DMark.

Then you'd be able to veil the tesla immortals around, which is huge fun and desperately annoying for the opponent. They'd also give you guaranteed firepower from T1 rather than being locked up in the scythe.

The stormtek added to the warrior squad would give you everliving for that unit which is handy.

so,

HQ - surflord, despairtek, veiltek, stormtek
Elite 5xDM(despair, NS), 5xDM
Troop: 10 warrior(GA), 8 warrior (GA, Stormtek), 10 Tesla immortal (veiltek)
HS : 2x AB.

I like Mark's suggestions.

One thing I was thinking about was scaling down one of the Warrior squads enough to add a Pulsetek. I can't recommend Pulseteks enough if you are running a few of our AV 13 skimmers. One turn of 3+ Jinks is very useful.
