Why would you be negative about FW making things that GW was never going to get around to?

It was a case of, "Cmon, you've done that already. Let's see some [insert neglected army here]!"

Well its been confirmed that the death rider steeds are indeed partly bionic.

The weird hooves are mechanised and the legs have very subtle mechanics if you look closely. I'm really glad that they took this route as its always been a big part of the background.

It also seems according to those on warseer (insert dose of salt as required) that the krieg list has the options of taking HQ on steeds. So it looks like you could have an all krieg death rider force. Much in the Dark Angels deathwing belial example.

A lot of people on warseer are complaining about the price of death riders, Personally i think its quite reasonable. 50 pounds for 5, thats only 10 pounds each. 3 Knarloc riders that are roughly the same size are 40 pounds, same too for the mukaal tallarn monster steed things. For that price (10 pounds) you get one fully detailed resin rider and horse. I mean come on GW sell hideously old metal sculpts for the same price now in blisters. its 9 or 10 pounds now for Ezekiel and Azrael and they are 2nd ed minis for gods sake!

 I think FW worlds prices are in some areas maintaining a steady level of reason and at least they don't constantly "adjust" like GW.

Also this is a Krieg Trench kit, I'm not sure if this is actually planned for release by Forgeworld or if its just an events mock up. Its a bad photo but you can get the idea. It seems quite similar to the Aphellion base stuff

 

Crud - I had to go and look again... I was going to go with the idea to get the OLD jetbikes and modify riders for my Rough Riders but now it looks like I do not have to. The price isn't to bad for me because buying all the parts I would have needed should have been about the same as these. I also think my armies original HSO is going to get demoted. Maybe he will fail a morale check so that I can have a better excuse.

The trenches are also nice. A lot easier looking to scratch build than the ones I made several years back.

Looks like its soon time to end my boycott of the 'local' Battle Bunker and pick up some of these when they get them in.

very nice, i prefer the second tank, Not going to buy either as i have decided not to spend anymore mony on stuff as i have no more room left anywhere in the house.
