Twin linked guess scatter weapon will be interesting... do you reroll the scatter dice or do you re roll the distance?

$100 for 5 rough riders... owie...

Well, the Marcharius sounds like it will be only 2 structure points, so it will be pretty cheap to feild. Which is a good way to fit a superheavy into non mega-games.

I am all for Traitor tanks. The one mentioned sounds pretty cool. Six heavy bolters does sound like a lot though. My guess is two in a turret and two sets of twin-linked sponsons? And is this tank based on the Leman Russ Tank kit?

For the lazy, here's the two tanks:

MALCADOR

MACHARIUS

And a pic for scale comparision of the Macharius to a Leman Russ:

That's it. I'm done, broke...can't afford anything no more...Forgeworld ruined me.

So let me get this straight, they've sold 25 Mantas so far, and they're planning a reaver titan. Can a Warlord be far behind?

Forget the plastic Baneblade. I want a plastic Macharius.

do you guys think that is also a new krieg squad in the bottom right corner of the macharius picture?

That's the "at ease" Krieg Standing squad. Already on the website. Good to use for sentries or sticking in the Gorgon for fluff.

They've also made a proper as ease expansion pack to go inside the Gorgon by the look of it.

I imagine it will be one mahusive lump of resin with 50 troopers. Looks cool but I'd hate to have to wash, clean up, and paint those guys. Especially if it is a one peice cast.

I love these new tank designs and I think its great that Traitor guard get their own ancient tank pattern. But man that many heavy bolters? How do they find room inside there to operate them?

Also it'll be interesting to see if theres an option for non chaos cultists to use it. As in the pics its labeled as "Imperial Malcador", it also has a regualr guard commander in these pics.

I really like these gorgon super heavy variants though. Nice to see a new tank modelled around a different chasis rather than a Baneblade variant.

And for 85 pounds I'd definately buy one.

I was lucky enough to see the Krieg Infantry inside the gorgon lifted out so I could see. They were in strips of 5s, 3s and 2 models, and were joined together at the legs. They still had full detail mind, and sort of small cast-in bases at the bottom to keep them upright. I asked the guy if they were going to be released and he said "It's still up in the air. The main problem is, how many people would buy them? Their usefulness outside of the Gorgon is sorta limited".

Cool thanks for the extra info.

I hope they do release them. At the end of the day people buy Gorgons for modelling and painting and I think a proper set of troopers fro inside is definately needed.

Who cares about uses outside the tank? I don't plan to use any of my Death Korp in actual games (unless i know the people well and trust them not to be clumsy!) they are way too fragile.

I'm really digging the traitor tank, and...

Do the horses have gas-masks, too? I guess they would have to.

Yep the horses have gas masks and helmets.

Actually in a lot of the fluff they are depicted as bionic, so I'm suprised FW didn't go further down that route and make them slightly mechanised.

Look at those horses' hooves (and legs).  They've gotta be bionic (or at least semi-bionic).

Yeah come to think about it the hooves are kinda wierd, but its difficult to see the side of the legs in these pics.

I'm not sure if this is viens and muscles or cabling and metal bits.

Hopefully once FW post these on the preorder section of the website we'll have much clearer pics and will be able to get a better idea.

Heh, I know how you feel. I was very negative towards FW making anymore IG stuff, then they go and make something as awesome as the Malcador... Oh fudge.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Why would you be negative about FW making things that GW was never going to get around to?

Gorgeous stuff. I love the Macharius and Malcador, and I don't even play IG.

But the Krieg officers and Rough Riders are just unreal. Fantastic sculpts.

First prize in the Adepticon Gladiator was $1000 worth of Death Corps of Krieg.  My teammate Chris played the Gladiator winner Troy in the last round.  They were at the top in points, and Chris couldn't knock down the Falcons (which he never used to have any trouble doing against mine) and lost.  Chris is building IG too.  Agony for him.

*shakes head to stop ears from ringing*

Indeed it is. Prolly because FW is giving the consumers what they want far more than Citadel thinks is prudent....
