The Sultan of Everblight (mostly because he seems to have a harem of female
warlocks surrounding him).

I haven't decided if I'm going to build an actual Legion army, but I really liked
painting up Thagrosh. Maybe I should have made the stitching across his

I'm too lazy to do that. Green stuff and zap-a-gap (a store brand
one).

I should have an army profile up sometime in August. The army itself doesn't
play very well (especially if the opponent just shoots me off the table), but
if you can get berserk models to make contact with the enemy, the fun never
ends (until you run out of things to kill).

No. I'm slowly posting pics I've taken all month.

I know there are 24 models in a box and I'm only posting 23 of them, but
I found the 24th one hiding a week or so after I took this picture.

These were fast paints as I gave up on detail almost entirely to get them done.

They look a little like Christmas Trees. Don't know if I'll ever use them (I REALLY
don't like the original unit I painted).

My entry for the Dakka Paint Challenge was the Dark Elf Corsair. The Old School
Theme came into play as I didn't have very many good minis from pre-third edition
40k, and I've had the Dark Elf models sitting around primed and unpainted since
the last Dark Elf army box came out. I tried to sell them off once, and instead I
decided to paint them in time for the competition and the new Corsair release.

I did finish a series of Cryx models in July. Yes, that's a necrosurgeon. No,
I don't know if I'll field her.

I should have modeled him standing higher up. Now he stands eye to
eye with a small based model.

I've expanded my Protectorate of Menoth force to include a third choir, the deliverers
that I'll need to fill out my minimum unit, and the Vassal. Of these, I'm most excited about
using the Vassal.

I still haven't decided where to take this list further. Zaal needs more
guns, but for 750 points I can't seem to find the room.

High Elves. The halberds are annoying. You have to be very careful when you cut
them as there is metal connecting the axe blade with the shaft. If you bully your
way through it it can twist the axehead off.

Thanks. Too bad I didn't get a good shot of the axehead that I was talking about.

These troops round out my starter Harad force for Lord of the Rings. Sometime in
the future (not saying soon, as there are a lot of other things I want to work on
in the interim) I need to get me a Mumak.

I kid of course! Looks delicious, is that dip I detect on your LotR figs?

I mix glaze medium into Vallejo ink wash, which I'm told gives off the same effect
as dip. Typically I use Sepia ink on most things.

The plan is to use Gravus in one of my lists at the Legends Event at the end of
the month. Probably try him in an exemplar army of some kind. But that means
I'll have to practice with him in the near future.

Reading through this thread is humbling. The pace you keep turning these nice paint jobs is amazing.

I really like your Menoth force. The original colors used for accents make them seem like your army, while with the cream you keep them linked to the studio/ fluff armies.

Those haradrim look also nice. I have one horse archer waiting somewhere to get some paint on. I may have to get him under work now to give me a break in the painting of Stryker force.
