Besides the drooling over MDG's Stormtroopers, what I want to see in plastic would be the all metal DH and WH ranges, with a vote towards a cack load of the Eldar stuff, especially the Wraithguard. Putting together an Eldar force looks mighty tempting, but not when the only plastic infantry are Guardians and Dire Avengers.

Why does everyone hate on the Kasrkin? I get that everyone wants the silly looking Beret Stormtroopers, and the Stormtroopers for 3rd edition were pretty cool too.

But why hate on the Kasrkin?

I do not hate them, I just have no need of them. On the other hand the previous stormtroopers were both better looking and more generic, which allowed for their use in other situations (and dare I say it, games). Really, Kasrkin are grenadiers of the Cadian army, and that is fine, but they are not Imperial. Using them with other regiments would just seem strange, and as someone who has far too many different regiments, I want imperial troops. So plastic old school stormtroopers please!

Which changes not a whit the fact that the impending plastic set is 95% likely to be another Brian Nelson Big Feet special.

I think Gwe can afford to puit aside all IG infantyry that are not Catachan or Cadian for now. There are much higher priorities. I would like to see other IG plastics but other things need plastric more.

My top list are:
Eldar Bike Council (in metal would be nice too, this is the only major canon GW unit with no minitures presense at all, unless you count the Warlord titan)

Then:
Cadian special weapons squad
Cadian Command squad
Leman Russ resculpt (with lots of tank variant options)
Ork Battlewagon
Ork grots
Ork Meganobz
Ork Stormboyz
Sister of Battle various boxsets
Inquisitor and retinue.

Then
Chapter infantry sprues. ie a redone sprue for each
Chapter vehicle sprues

Possibly you couldstart to phase in IG army variant sprues, but IG bodies are as different as the heads and add ons unlike most marines.
Most 40K armies have beern plasticised either sequentially as various marine or to begin with Tau and Necrons. The various Inquisition chapters are the notable exceptions.

For Warhammer things are simpler, most is already plastic.

High Elf Swordmasters need a plastic kit for a better pose.
Stormvermin. Metal is not practical in the unit numbers you need.

Most others can wait IMHO. That is enough to start on and does not include new units deliberately as the list wouldf be open ended.
