It is Alpharius, couldn't figure out what to do for the seismic hammer. will probably wind-up ordering the drill arm from forgeworld to represent the "hammer", so for now I am just going to use the CCW as a "Count as". I am looking forward to seeing how the Ironclad performs. My gaming group started off a new campaign last week, small points for now @1000 points. I am hoping that the AV 13 will be worth the point cost.

Thanks. I was just going for something easy as I am sure there will be a new kit either from GW or forgeworld down the line.

Best quote I've read all day!

"Nothing from the outside world can be imported into Canada without first being doused in ranch dressing. Canadian Techs have found that while this makes the internet delicious it tends to hamper the bandwidth potential. Scientists are working furiously to rectify the problem. "

I HAVE ONE! I just built it and finished the green stuff off - no paint yet so ill take pre-paint pictures in the morning, I like it and by the way it completly dominated orks in it's first game - killing 8 bikes (1 nob) 17 boyz, a trukk, and the warboss! from turn 2 to 6 it recorded kills. The armour 13 is great.

Ill show the pic and tell the wargear in the morning from our studio!

Nobody wants to play a game with those! You'd just spend two days shooting back and forth, with no damage done to either side, and then one of them would sink on it's way back to port after being in a storm..... boring!

Well - sorry guys, I did not have time to take any good photos of the CLAD but i did already have WORK IN PROGRESS photos from when i was dry fitting/blue stuffing and then doing green stuff. so these will be fun to lok at for now and then tomorrow i should be able to get some newer ones - It has chains on it now and im sure you guys can make suggestion but ill list what im thinking in the new pic's post.

you can see here that LYSANDERS SHIELD is stuck to the hurricane bolters - thats because the tanks shield for them looked really bad on it, as well as the naked outside of the bolters was unappealing.

I figured that id name this "THE SPIRIT OF DORN" maybe its lysander in 200 years still doing the good work through the hull of a Ironclad!

I added the heavy Flamer because lets face it... its way better then the storm bolter in this scenario!

I green stuffed the entire hull (you cant really see it) but if you ever built a ven dred - you know that this metal parts do not always line up)

We will go more in depth with my next post and after that maybe we can all design another one as I want to run two of these!

ttyl,
MICHAEL

Excellent, GT.

If you can keep your head, while all about you are losing their's, then you have probably completely misunderstood the situation!

Ok - here are two current shots of it.

you can see the chains that were added.

besides some clean up wok.

you guys have any ideas to do these?

#1 where the heck does the hunter killer missle go? I sometimes buy 2 uses but would still only model 1 "gun".
I'm thinking that the vehicle one with a little mount on the shoulder would go well, and could be balanced by something on the other shoulder (smoke launcher or searchlights) OR what if we made some cool "silo" thing on the back of the hurricane bolters of power plant? Maybe point it straigt up, or put it on a support arm going out fro the back and aim at a 45 degree pitch over the shoulder..... suggestions wanted please.

#2 I need more cool stuff on here before i go to paint. more purity seals? something of the imperial fist theme? suggestions of bits you know about from marine kits may help.

your turn.

We are working on a "hammer" conversion to show the HAMMER apart from typical dread cc weapon.

if you guys want we can do it together in this thread or a new thread. Like go harvest pics of bits and vote on what is the coolest and ill build running dry fits for us.

let me know. if 2-3 of you want in then it should be a fun community thing that other might want to view to spark thier imagination and hopefully somebody will make one even better then ours.

If you want a good base model for a hammer, you might try to find an old chaos dreadnought thunderhammer. I dunno if they are still in production, but i remember in 2nd ed seeing dreadnoughts with giant hammers for ccw.

OLD MAN ULTRAMARINES' BASEMENT

this is an iron clad, so i am thinking more seals would look nice, and maybe cover up the wires in the bottom. if it is sopposed to be more armoured, then there shouldn't be any wires exposed. that would make it easier to kill, and then you just made a suped up venerable, or a suped up reg. dread. just an idea!

Yeah - im feeling more seals and such as well.

and very good point on the added protection.

SOOOOO - what the heck can we do for protection?

cutting the hoses and wires off will just make it look like a skinny skeleton and thats not very sturdy at all.

Mind you the 13 is only on front and side, but yeah lets talk about "bulking up" the whole thing.

any ideas for MORE ARMOR?

as for the suggestion on the CSM dred hammer - we thought of that but we want to make our own, even if its a rectangle block on a stick... well not that lame.

Give it an armoured skirt, maybe something like most of the Ultramarines use based off of the Roman one? Or you could make your own, but I think an armoured skirt is the way to go.

*Insert Kilt were it says skirt as the dread is totally not wearing underwear.
