Subliminally? With some of those guys they used a plasma cutter to open up the hole to drop it in through.

I was quoting MeanGreen's post from the thread the OP references.

Your original post.

You got a crappy salesperson, your army isn't valid anymore, the tables are too small, etc.
Boohoo.
It's not a reason to start a thread on an internet forum.
It's not even a discussion.
It's you venting about how you get treated like...a potential customer?
If you don't like it, then don't go back to the store or tell the staffer that he needs to chill out a bit. Don't tell the Internet your horror story.

The OP for this thread was actually looking for advice on how to deal with the overexcited staffers.
Not ways to avoid human contact.

'Boohoo' ?!? - really man... weaksauce.

Not even a discussion yet it generated several pages of people who agreed and people who disagreed, most of whom wanted to share their own experiences. This forum, like most of the internet contains content of significantly lower quality on occasion.

I was briefly tempted to run a search for posts started by yourself and pull them apart, see how much worth they have, instead I've decided to avoid further exchanges with you. Enjoy the game mate.

I've been going to the same GW ever since it opened 13 odd years ago. I've seen staff change there ever so much and once they get to know you its all good... the most the ever try to sell me is uh... nothing really. Of course the obligatory "Do you need any glue or paints?" but that doesn't really count.

The guys at my local GW are pretty cool, and dont seem to push sales a whole lot (as in, I've definitely seen worse!). Really the best tactic for sales for this hobby is to promote the hobby itself, instead of just "omgawsh buy this naaoo!1!!".

But with all that, I still buy 90% of items online since I save soooo much money. Like really. A lot (example: I bought 2 boxes of Chaos Terminators online for a total of $67 CDN and if I were to buy that from the store it would have cost $124.30) Hooray for the intarwebz!

The lady kept chugging through her script of "well, what about a one time donation of $10 more" and the like.

I finally simply stated "I've made it clear that I won't be donating anything further. Continuing to ask me will be rude, and I will quickly act rude in return."

Hell, that reminds me of some bitch that called me trying to squeeze a donation out. I kept trying to tell her that I just didn't have the money, I was flat broke. Finally she worked down to the $10 donation and I still denied it, and she comes back with a sarcastic "Oh well, things must be really bad then!" and hangs up on me.

Bitch is eating her words now, the entire world is in a bad place.
