Hello again I wanted to say something.

I wanted to start a painting service, because of the (FACT) that after my Accident I was put on Disability and I know that I have the time to do so plus I love to put Detail into Everything I see and do, For the most part I Paint Old School, but I am willing to learn any and All new Techniques that are out there. I Just recently painted the Blood Angels, I did it in three days for my 18 year old son, who needed them for a the Christmas canned food drive Battle Force game. I have been Painting Minis for over 25 yrs and I have made money on doing so for many other people, 40k is a new paint style for me and so I will do my best to insure that what you want, you get!
Thank You to All who gave me feedback I will try harder to make the 40k better than what you have seen so far.
P.S. for the most part I airbrush most of my minis, my son started the tank and I finished it, it was done with a Tank Brush.

Donald don't take the comments too personally. Most of us wish you well and would encourage you in what you do, even most of those who have given you hard critique. It is just that some dont have the maturity to articulate critique properly. I do not think anyone here has of yet told you to stop trying, only given you different degrees of quality of encouragement to get better at what you do.

I 2nd orlanth. Your doing a real good job. You just have to remember that no matter what you do your going to have critics. I wish you well and hope you make millions. Hopefully i will have some cash to spend on your service soon so pm me with your details.

i used to do the ebay thing advertised as pro painted, and most of what I got was garbage. I've started painting 6 months ago, so I'm no expert so, I don't have an artists eye if you will. With that said, I want to see everyone elses armies. I've seen little examples of their work but a lot of crap talking. The fact of the matter is, most of you don't paint your crap this doesn't apply to everyone, but I've played enough games to know, most people don't have completely painted armies, and are talking trash because you're on a forum where you can hide behind your computer and feel good about yourselves. Only a few of you actually gave positive contructive criticism like Orlanth did.

I actually want to use his service , i sent him a pm asking about sending him a tester squad and waiting on the reply. i love his banners, and his paint stile reminds me of that painter that cut off his ear that painted in a method i believe is called impasto. like i said , once i get it back i will post pictures but my cam skills are like my unicorn hunting skills ....none existent. although i have seen a Pegasus.

Tell it like it is brother coachnitro. only half my army is painted. That counts for 150 out of 300. So i suck at painting they look like 5th grade work."hey mom like my doodles."

Out of curiosity, are your banners hand painted or some sort of transfer?

Most of my banners are hand painted by looking at pictures I can get almost any banner picture and make transfer is you wish Thank you again

For the price I think it's great, and as someone who is horrible at painting you'll likely be hearing from me sometime in the future as well.

I will be sending him a squad this week to try his service. As a Tyranid player, his costs are too low for me too completely dismiss.

And if somehow the service is NOT worth it, I can hide them in the horde. But I don't expect that to be the issue.

Your hand-painted banners are awesome, what kind of price do you ask for such banners!

I also agree with Orlanth. You will find your nitch, and you will excell I am sure. Do not take to heart what some have said here. If you do you will never continue, and will not get any better. You have promise as I told you earlier, and via PM. Keep it up, and remember this is ultimately for fun, and if you can make a few extra bucks doing what you would do anyway, well then more power to you.

Yep, the comments did seam harsh and not very constructive. Your services are really cheap and I'm sure that once you get a grounding in your style you will get lots of work. Neaten up your work a little and there's no reason why you should get more per mini (time is money unless your doing this as a hobby that pays its way) . Since your running a budget painting service maybe you should check out 'Army painter' if you haven't already. Best of luck!

I noticed this thread a few days ago when you just had the Blood Angels posted, and i was on the fence about what sort of comment to leave, so i kept my mouth shut so i wouldn't sound like an ass. after seeing the LOTR work i can say that for the price, this is an excellent service. at this price point it will fill a niche, and i hope this works out for you.

Some nice clean work there. Keep at it. It seems your next step would be attention to detail. Such as highlighting, etc. Oh, and don't forget to file off that flash on the that ork!

Really good. Being an Orc Painter I can tell you that you may want to spend just a few more minutes on the flesh. It is really easy to get a great contrast and depth with green skins.

Try this:
Dark Angels Green base coat.
Snot Green highlights
Goblin Green Highlights
Then wash with a thin coat of Devlin Mud. Whalla....instand greenskin killa!!!

Again much better.

Just wanted to say that I read the whole thread and you've really improved one heck of a great deal since you started off.

I'm no pro painter but I'm up there touching pro I guess (I'm pretty much top when it comes to tabletop standard but lack the skills of proper real good looking highlights as well as tiny details) and I can honestly say that youre about to get there soon as well (seeing your latest ork creation)...

It was real nice to see how you took the tips offered and showed tat you want (and can) paint better as opposed to the normal forum guy who would simply whine back in his own thread, making him look like a 5 year old arguing with his dad
