Yeah, and what are your prices on tanks? Also, do you paint Guard, 'cause your 8 bucks a squad is an awesome deal! I'll just wait for some pics of your latest guys (the 4 testers) before I contact you. Btw, how do I contact you? Also, how fast do you paint?

Hello Guardsmen, look at your Leman, now back to mine, now back to your Leman, now back to mine. Sadly, your Leman isn't mine, but if they stopped using standard engines and switched to Lucifer Pattern, they could move like they're mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? Your in a battlefield with the Rhino your Leman could move like. Whats in your hand, back at me, I have it, it's the fire control for the Twin-linked Assault Cannons aimed at you. Look again, it's a Deep-Striked Land-Raider. Anything is possible when your Tanks move like Blood Angels, and not like Guardsmen. I'm on a Baneblade.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Big improvement already, I would not be ashamed to add that deffkopta to my army. Well done.

Paint is thinned even and the inking was handled well, I would have to look at it a long time to find fault - the only thing that immediately came to mind is the lack of highlighting, but you can get away with that with orks and I suspect was a deliberate ommission. I didnt notice the flash on the orks arm until prompted.

Now orks are relatively simple to paint though. So next we need to see a lighter coloured human(ish) figure so we can take your painting skill to the next level and see where you are at. Something like a good faction LoTR figure or Empire or Guard miniature will give us a good indication.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Hi Tabletop,

The Deth Kopta looks fantastic! 40k is definitely a style thing, and I was shocked when I recently took a painting class at the local store how easy it was to make things look like you're used to seeing ONCE you know the method they're using.

40k painting seems to like a lot of heavy shading in the recesses, but it's just a simple wash that does the trick, and it definitely looks like you've done that on this recent model!

More advanced calls for highlighting, but I wouldn't expect that at the price you're listing.

I'm very tempted by your services! This most recent model really rocks! I look forward to seeing what people post when they get their squads back from you.

One thing- I'd suggest starting a new thread! I, too, read the whole thing, and there was a lot to wade through at the beginning. I'd post a new thread with this latest pic, and invite those who you're painting for to post the pics of what you do for them there.

As you can see you're creating quite a stir and getting a lot of attention, which for a miniature painter is a Great thing and you may have my business, too, after seeing a few of the things you're doing for these first 4 folks.

Great, keep us posted

Hi AEMM,

You might want to edit out your post and put it in the Painting and Modelling forum, since normally people looking for comments on their painting start their own thread and put it in there

This is more of an ad for a painting service, so it's not the best place to get feedback on your painting. And even if it was, you'd need your own thread

I'll look for it in the P&M forum and give you a comment there!

People who do commisions should really stop posting on this thread. If you have comments you should PM TableTop as a courtese.

Definitely improving dude. A couple of humble critiques;

Go back and highlight twice after a wash. A good recipe to follow is;

Base color
Wash
Highlight 1
Highlight 2

So to do metal;

Base color -- boltgun
Black wash
Highlight with 50/50 boltgun/silver
Light highlight with silver

This recipe pretty much works on anything (Metal, leather, red, whatever), just change the colors accordingly. You can add further washes/highlights to add further depth or 'blackline'. Take the new wash (black), get your brush saturated and follow the lines of the metal where they meet, this will add further depth. Also, keep in mind the primer you use will drastically effect the overall 'brightness' of a model Black primer is good at hiding areas not painted and giving natural depth but it also darkens the model considerably. Not a bad thing if it's your goal but don't be afraid to use grey primer and wash areas dark as you see fit.

Last thing, the brazen brass parts (Mufflers, flamers, etc). You will be doing many of those, so I thought I would share my recipe;

Brazen brass
Devlan Mud wash (I farking love this wash)
Highlight brazen brass
Drybrush end of muffler/flamer with some black (Or use a Tamiya weathering stick)
Mix a bit of brazen brass with white (90% brass here ,just a touch of white) in the middle of the brass. VERY light highlight. This gives it that white/burnt brass look.

Good luck!

Well, I sent tabletop my army and he is working on it! Will post results after I get it back, along with what I already have painted.

I am a little giddy about this, having had an unpainted army for almost a year, and being out of the hobby for 7 years before that... it will feel good to field a fully painted force after all this time

Good stuff TTG43! Glad you're taking comments with a grain of salt. You already heard the tips said before this post so I wont dove tail it. But keep doing what you do! Cant beat the $8 squad deal.

And all you painters rating yourselves 1-10 lemme give you the LB Scale of Paint Domination, and calculate your numbers again.

1. Unknown

10. Yellow one from CMON

Yellow one gives you something to work toward eh? Yeah I wanted to throw all my paint stuff away after seeing this.

I think the eldar one may be done with an airbrush, or at least with paint transferring layer by layer. Personally i want to get things on the table fast not 500 points a year.

I believe it's all freehand. He's just got hands gifted by the gods. And if he could airbrush that accurate and consistent he would be on the cover of all airbrush, custom automotive, and motorcycle magazine at least 1 month while gaining grants from all over to get him schooled as a surgeon. Not saying that skill is impossible but it also would NOT go unnoticed.
