Then if you didn't see the tech demos, you didn't pay attention whatsoever to the press conference.
Microsoft ended their press conference with a 20 minute presentation on Natal, including a 10 minute live demo of the tech, then followed by Peter Molyneux's presentation.

I love that series of games, and I'm glad to see another coming out (soon?)...

I haven't heard a release date yet, but juding from the type of game and the systems it will come out I would be very surprised if it isn't part of their fall-lineup.

Honestly they should be getting ripped to shreds for that. And stephen spielberg says "what an achievment", what achievment? it doesn't exist! Its comparable to someone hosting a press conference about an idea for a time machine.

What? It does exist though. They had people playing a few tech demo esq mini games with it during the show. From what they've told us, the Peter Molyneux thing was operating in some capacity but only seen behind closed doors.

Motion control is probably one of the things we will never get rid of at this point. It's going to be hounding us and getting into all our games, we will never be able to veg out on the couch and just play video games anymore.

That's kind of how I feel as well. Also, until haptic feedback is incorporated into controllers, they still won't be realistic anyway, so they'll still seem a bit crap.

I have played the Wii -- my daughter has one -- the motion control is actually rather rubbish for ordinary games, though it works well for Sports. I know a lot of people bought Wii but I hear so many of them saying they haven't played anything on it for months. I think it is a very successful fad.

I have a Wii exclusively so that my less nerdy friends have something to do at parties. Its fun in that context, and bowling is fairly addictive, but is certainly not my preferred platform. The motion control should be intuitive, but after years of being conditioned for game pads I feel lost when attempting to play something like CoD3.

The Wii gave me RSI.

I'm thinking that the melee weapons in L4D2 will all have some sort of "ammo". CHainsaw will probally have to be restarted or something, baseball bat will break then needm to be replaced, frying pan will bend or something after a while, then be less effective at melee. Axe is the only one I'm having a hard time thinking might have an "amm" system. But thats just me letting my imagination run free.

I'm afraid my noobish mind prevents me froming knowing much here. WHo is Natal? I know who Molyneuhhijxijx is though. Black and White was a waste of money ya bastard.

Natal is the new motion controlled camera of Microsoft.

And Peter needs to shut up, his lies and false promises are annoying.

I'm too lazy looking for a video. Check Gametrailers or IGN and search for Natal and see it for yourself.
