Really now? You feel bad? i have oh i dunno like over 200-300 unpainted orks and such from last year and the year before... some even from when i started in 2005 or 06 or something... D: I just get so BORED with painting orks.... TOO MUCH SKIN AND TOO MANY LAYERS!

This thread however has inspired me to paint the all of my armies before summer is out... not much compared to an army in 1 weekend tho <_<

So the raptors are finished, and I really like them, but they took FOREVER. I have no idea why, but I am still looking at a pile of 30 marines and 10 possessed. Oh well, onward to glory!

So here are the raptors, all plastic, using the wings from the possessed kit. Hooray for no metal!

In case you couldn't tell, the two flamer armed models actually have flame spewing arms!

Well, I'm back to painting, I'm going to see this project through as I am taking this army to the Origins tournament on thursday, so even if I don't get them done by midnight I have more than enough time to finish them by thursday.

Also, I am running out of weekend, it's 8:00 here in Ohio. So things are looking grim, but I'm going to keep going, perhaps I'll skip sleep again tonight.

Oh, BTW, no pics of the orks as Hyde threw in the towel. /edit

Gogo! You still got 3 1/2 hours till midnight XD. To bad Hyde threw in the towel but orks was a daunting challenge.

I figured out how to pull it off technically. I'm going to skip the gold for now, just doing the green, silver and high lights on the black areas. that will give me the three color minimum for a tourney-legal army, and then i can claim victory.

Also, next year I will assemble the army before hand, as that really slowed me down.

Keep sending me your positive thoughts, I needs them!

Thanks,

12:16 here in columbus, if I get them done before work tomorrow at 7:30 I claim victory. Only the weapons and back packs to go. Keep wishing me luck!

Used an entire pot of goblin green this weekend.

One of the many things fueling my quest, diet coke. Delicious, bubbly diet coke.

Your challenge was to be painted by the weekend. When I'm back home I'm going to try the same thing. I will not be back in the US until January time but I'm motivated to try this.

I have orks to paint but that is probably way to big of a job.

After you are done I think some flocking on the bases would be nice. Maybe a green color. Bring the model into the base.

VICTORY!!! (I think)

Ok, am officially done for the weekend! The models are painted to tournament legal standards, but just barely. Each model has at least three colors, being green, black and boltgun metal.

I'm claiming victory for the project, but let me know what you think.

Flock comes later this week, first game will be in a tourney, need a little more detail work too. More posts tomorrow.

Tourney legal in 2.5 days. Holy crap. Need sleep.
