I don't think anyone is disputing the ability to push units around is good. I think it's moreso the ease of cracking open transports, and having a Daemon Prince survive to Lash the survivors into Submission. In my experience it's too easy to interdict Obliterators, and if you deep strike them all then you lose your Heavy Support for some turns before they turn up.

Some units, like Zagstruck's Vulcha Boyz, Vanguard, outflankers, anything in Drop Pods, and so on are just too good at popping up to murder Obliterators.

Likewise the Daemon Princes have to be within 24", and line of sight of their targets, which brings them well under the guns of the enemy Heavy Support.
