There's no option for "have multiple partners now" Oh well, I put myself under "have a partner now". I've been with my primary g/f for 6 years now. We're happily non-monogamous and each have several other partners on the go.

I've been gaming all my life and never found it interfered with my love life. It's generally not the *first* thing I talk about when chatting up a woman, but I've never "hidden" it since high school. Admittedly most of my gaming life has been RPGs; the 40k is a recent (5 years) thing. None of my g/fs over the years have been particularly interested in gaming (other than the occasional board game) but they do think that the little painted men are "cute".

Love life's fine. Married for 3 years.

She not only doesn't disparage my hobby, she supports it 110% (she even pays for it). She doesn't play, but has an art background and appreciates the work that goes into it.

I did the girlfriend thing when I was young, before I got into wargaming. Not looking to do it again.

I've been married for 5 years....so, no I don't get any.

When I think of my "love life" I get a mental image of a desert with tumbleweed blowing past...

I had a short term thing in the past, but havent really bothered since.

Thing is I feel quite content on my own. Yes, I worry myself too.

A gamer girl is never lonely.

So i walk into my local GW store.

I approach the counter and the usual banter follows between myself and the storeperson, and continues with....

Storeperson: So what race you collecting.

My Wife: BLACK TEMPLARS (said with enthusiastic grin)

Myself: Speachless ( didn't realise she actual took any notice).

the always been single are probably kids. Or elephants that leave butt sweat on the seat when they get up.

Married 11 years.

She won't play 40k, but she's played D&D a few times with us.

My wife refers to any gaming store as "the Nerd store."

My girlfriend doesn't play (yet, i'm workin on it) but she really appreciates my interest in it and the work i put into it. She likes to do crafts so we'll sit and paint/build together sometimes.

Ive been with my girlfriend for 7 months now. I started 40k back up around the same time i started going out with her. Last night we talked about it, shes kinda interested (never gonna convince her to play though ) She likes the fluff, and expecially likes to scream WAAAAAAGH!

I've pretty much always dated gamers. Now I've been married for a bit over two years, and my husband, while he isn't into war-gaming as much, plays a lot of computer games, roleplaying games, and board games. He is passionate about rules systems, so will happily discuss tactics, etc for ages. He isn't as interested in the models or painting, but is supportive. He bought me the 40K Ork Stompa as my last wedding anniversary present, for example, just because I said the model was awesome. I don't even play 40K. (I'm converting it to a kick-ass fantasy war-machine)

Been married six years and while she does not play the game she does like helping me paint as i am colorblind and before she came along with no one to help me out with the colors they where, Well lets just say i have a bucket of shame in the corner nearly full.

Most of my girlfriends i have had over the years before getting married thought it was harmless fun that kept me home gaming with friends instead of going out and doing god knows what.

Married 3 years now,
She doesn't love the room that wargames takes but doesn't mind the social aspect of it (Working on it )

My wife tolerates my 40K gaming obsession, and my kids join in my fun- I guess that tells you how I answered the poll question.

Got my girl into Fantasy (dwarven gunline)... and she's kicking and screaming about it but I'll get her hooked on 40k eventually (she has admitted to wanting to do an all female converted daemon force)

I don't think alot of women where i live like people like me :S

although their are women at my hobby shop but their either taken or married.

A bit of inspiration for you. A friend one told me, concerning taken women of course, "Where you see a problem, I see a good story to tell our kids." Hope that helps

Who needs Romance? Humans are perfectly fine on their own.

At the tender age of 15 all i can say is a couple of flings (yes to the full meaning of the word) but every time ive had a girl over i have packed away all the 40k stuff.

hot chicks love nerds... i have always had luck this department and now i am married to a hot nerd loving girl. as they say "geek is sheik"!! also it makes dating easier if you shower. so all you lonely gamers remember, shower + mouth wash + deodorant = happy potential girlfriend

I've been with my wife 6 1/2 years roughly now and married for 4 1/2 of that. She isn't ecstatic over the room it takes up but never mionded me doing it as she is creative too with crafts and arty. Also wasn't happy at all when I was leaving modelling stuff out and our first son was starting to climb and was getting too close to the stuff. He ended up nicking a load of eldar off me at the age of 2 hehe. With 3 kids now my time to paint and convert stuff is less than it was before but don't mind that.

My wifes hot, check. Likes geeks... all her previous boyfriends were geeky too apparently, check. I think my problem before was lack of confidence, shyness and I tend to shut up unless I have something interesting to say so probably never looked at twice

Also think she is happy I am gaming again, spent a long time basicly as a hermit past few years due to a few things and she is happy I am at least socialising again.

My wife humors me about the hobby, the kids just love to slap paint all over the place, and sometimes actually on a mini.

ooohhh... ull love this... i was at the local GW and i heard this guy say "I dont need a girlfriend, because 40k is less expensive"

sry if that didnt make sense but this guy was (so sry) a stereotypical nerd, glassed, pimples, the voice...

but myself... nah... ive never been lucky... tried twice and been used once and dropped the second time... but getting there

My lovely g/f of the last five years kindly refers to the hobby as me "playing with my wee men" lol ^^

Also, she always asks if I remembered to spray for germs after being in FLGS :p
