I think you should replace tau body with human body to make an army of cadian that stole tau equipment. you use cadian and add the tau should guard and gun, replace tau commander on tank by a human, catachan for the kroot. That would fit more with the fluff of the imperium where equipement is rare and you need to use tau equipment on some unit.

I painted my entire Tau army with Knarloc Green armor and Terracotta cloth which seems to be very similar to what you have chosen, lol. I chose the colors to fit a very jungle-esque theme, and it fits very well.

Honestly, it is a great color scheme and I get compliments on it often. Most people are used to seeing the standard sept colors in the codex, so anything different tends to get noticed. I just wished they complimented my painting more than my color choices, but it was the first army I painted since rejoining the hobby. I'll go back to it and get new stuff painted eventually, but painting Fire Warriors is just too tedious at this point in time. Not to mention I have 3500 points of 'nids sitting on my to do table.
