You did. But then you went on to list:
If the models are counted as destroyed since they cant enter or if the models are held allowed to wait for a section of the board edge to clear ....

Neither of which are following the rules.

The rules do not say to count the unit as destroyed. Nor do they allow you to hold the Reserves back until they can legally move on.

So both of these options would be no less house rules than the ones that I suggested.

Putting ones entire army into reserve in order to gain an advantage is certainly possible under the rules,

How about putting ones army into Reserve because it makes the most tactical sense, or putting ones entire army in Reserve because it sounds like fun?

There's nothing 'game stretching' about deploying in a standard way allowed by the mission being played. If you're taking a fast assault army that works best by being kept in Reserve, and you're not playing some sort of special scenario, putting them in Reserve is not abusing the rules, as some seem to be suggesting. It's simply playing to your army's strength.

If there's a time limit on the game, the ork army is destroyed at the end of it, and the guard win.

If you're only using the core rules for the game there's no way to continue. If neither player actually concedes, there isn't a winner or a loser. And it's not really a draw either, that game is ongoing but will never be resolved unless the players come to an agreement regarding how it's handled (or they d6 it, I suppose).

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.
