Totally digging that new Jugger. Great work, and I might have to steal those leg ideas

And by the way, if your junk looks like that tail, you really should have that looked at

I was worried the legs would look too much like I just kitbashed some SM bits but after putting them together it looks natural and awesome

I got kicked out of the house last night due to a Passion Party so I was unable to get anything done. I will be putting the cabling, armor bits and spiky bits on today/tomorrow and should hopefully get started with greenstuff on Monday/Tuesday.

I'm still not sure how to paint them. The idea of raw wet flesh sounds good but so does a light skin tone with purple bruised recesses. Either way I'm a gakky painter so I'll have to figure something out.

Here are some more WiP shots of my Bloodcrushers. I've got all the spiky bits, armor and cables on them that I wanted but I haven't started on the green stuff yet. Obviously the BL on top is just posed there--There'll be a lot of green stuff to make him look more dynamic. I'm thinking about having his handhold be chain but we'll see what happens Going to get the rest of the green stuff work done first and then I'll put the BL's on.

Thoughts?

Just wondering if the spiky bits look about right.

Awsome as always but did you personally cast those pieces?

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

I like personally enjoy the spiky bits, I would put:

1) more spiky bits everywhere
2) random cables leaving flesh and entering the machine parts
3) half of a guardsman hangin out of its mouth with the other half on the ground

Also, sure is awfully DOOM in here..

As if on cue, you hear two people singing from the stairwell, and the door is opened and a pair of very smelly, very dirty guardsmen stumble in, completely drunk, and covered in vomit, and immediately collapse unconsious on the porch. You drag them to their beds, realising that they will not be waking up for some time.

@Empchild: No, some of the bits are primed.

@Red9: I'm going to take a look and see what I can do as far as more bits and more cables.

Update: I redid all the spikes. They were too long for my taste. I'm digging through my bits box and checking for other spiky stuff I can use right now. I'll post updated shots later tonight if I get a chance.

Here are the finalized WIP shots of my Bloodcrushers. The only thing I'm adding at this point is some minor cabling from the metal jaw bits to their chests and the Bloodletter on their backs with some sort of hand-hold system. I haven't figured out if they're going to be gripping rungs on the back of the BC or some sort of chain "leash", for lack of a better word. Thoughts/suggestions?

I shortened the spikes coming out of the greaves on their legs. I thought they just looked too long. I also added a skull to the back leg joint and moved some other spikes around and added some more spikes to the cybernetic shoulders.

Overall impressions?

I dread to think...

Is that a human finger for the bloodcrushers tail?!?!

Very interesting take on the daemons, but still very nice.

I've been busy with finals and preparing to move this week but I've been busy brainstorming with my spare time

So, what I've decided to do is have the Bloodletter riders be magnetized so that I can A) remove them as casualties to show when a Bloodcrusher has lost a wound, and B) so that I can swap out the instruments/icons/etc without making a whole new Bloodcrusher. This will also make it easier to paint and green stuff everything.

Hopefully this weekend I can get to work on the green stuff and get one of them completed with snap-on rider. I will also be magnetizing my Bloodthirster so that I can just swap the arms off and have a Fateweaver This should also make it easier to transport him!

As always, comments/suggestions are much appreciated!

Stick a knife in its back, and have the bloodletter holding onto the knife/axe/daemonic whos-watsit, just barely in control of the BC.

What I decided to do for a grip is:

I'm going to heat up the fingers of the Bloodletter and curl then down into a fist holding onto a short piece of chain that attaches to a circular piece of plasticard. I'll build this plasticard piece up a bit and magnetize it and then where it mounts onto the Bloodcrusher.

Having a going away party today but I expect to get a bunch of work done on it tonight. I'll set my phone to remind me every 15 minutes so I can get some WIP shots

I do think the Bloodthirster legs (the sentinel ones) should be put in a more dynamic pose. Everything is moving forward but the legs are up strait.

That's my two cents anyway.

It would seem we have at least three different cyber-demon armies kicking around the blog area, all with very unique and inventive ways of exploring the idea, and I love it! The DOOM-look I feel is the way all demons should look in 40k, it helps them identify with the dark future much better and supernatural powers alone. Also, the hybridization of the demon flesh and machine always looks creepy in a way that regular demons have a difficult time achieving.

I like your particular concept on the demons, particularly the mix of bits and makes them look like the metal look like it was warped onto them, giving the whole model a very evil visgae. The crusher looks amazing, great idea on that concept! What I'm reallly pumped to see is squads of the demons all together, so get on that!
