Because CH is two, count them, two, guys making sculpts and molds. They did Sallies, and now Wolves, and will probably do other stuff in the future. Once they've been in business for a little while they'll have a larger selection of stuff, but for the moment Sallies and Wolves are the new hotness, and a good choice for initial sales.

It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Well to be honest we have a sales and product manager (me), a sculptor, a 3d design artist, and a 3d concept artist.

The whole salamander fetish originates back to when we were doing this just for ourselves, we liked salamanders but there was nothign for them beyond some FW doors and Terminator pads. We still have 1-2 things we want to flesh out on the salamanders, Dreadnought/Land Speeder/Bikes.

Space Wolves are the hot thing right now, so we are trying to take advantage of the popularity and cater to those players.

We also decided to do those lesser known chapters - Iron Snakes, Soul Drinkers, Deathwatch because we knew gamers liked them but didnt want to build armies around them due to no bits to use. We try to think of what you guys want, rather then what we want with the exception of the Salamander stuff (still our favorite chapter).

We will be releasing a line of "Heresy" era bits soon, this is another high-demand item that for some reason GW doesnt seem to do. You have seen the MK I pad, the Armored Rhino kit, and soon we will have a MK I Rhino kit (from the ooollldd GW models, will convert the new rhino to MK I) as well as terminator and other bits to make heresy troops.

Yes we are two, the core that is.
From my personal perspective we did/do sallie addon stuff because I L O V E my salamanders, tehir background and everything about them and I wanted a cusomised army and couldnt get stuff for it anywhere else.
The second part of the reason was that some of my friends online are playing salamanders and I also wanted them to get the stuff I did. Then it got a bit more serious then just my own army but my love for them still remains.
Here are some samples of my personal minis:

The wolf themed bitz on my part come from the fact my gf plays space wolves herself and wants a special and customized army (and I want to borrow it to on occasion), hence my sculpting on wolf stuff. The other reason is the new SW codex so why cant I kill two flies in one hit

A friend of mine has been nagging about soul drinkers stuff for ages and that was why I originally started to sculpt chalice bitz but this too expanded out to CH.

Love those terminators. You guys thought about maybe doing a range of bases as well as the lava ones they're on look amazing and I've seen a few people trying to do the effects on bases and make lava theme boards.

Try not.

Try someone who works in an industry where IP is called into question all the time (Animation) and has a little experience and concern.

Sure fine, stop the IP questioning posts. I believe I was supportive/curious not attacking or insulting.

I've lurked on Dakka for ages and rarely pipe up(obviously) due to a busy life outside the hobby. Does that makes me a less legitimate contributor in some way?

If it makes you happy I could post my Demiurg concept art?

Sorry, now I really am hijacking the thread.

Back on topic, buy heaps of these awesome vehicle add ons, the sculpting is great!

If you keep refreshing - a site - the site will think YOU are attacking your own site.

Same goes with any other site.

The webhost server will ip ban you - as repeated refreshing will be seen as a 'ping' attack.

Its annoying.

You'll find... users will be ip banned from your site - for no apparent reason.

Nothing personal intended, just always happens with Chapterhouse and not anyone else. To top it off, CH has a few known enemies (aka stupid people). In one thread they had a guy who just joined and his first post was questioning their IP rights (and the username was a generic male first name with numbers after). Who registers on a site just to do that? You have proven your non-spy-ness, sir! Move along

To be fair - Brother Argos banned my account name, not my IP (I still have an account to view with, I dare not say anything on that board for fear on insta-banning).

Should I take that to mean that negotiations for certain speeder and bike conversion pieces went well?

Great stuff, hopefully I'll find some incentive to purchase a couple of your add on kits, love the rhino armor especially! Forces me to buy a GW rhino, which is a win for everybody eh? Do you happen to have any pics of the armor on a rhino, or any links you can direct me to if you can't post them here? Keep up the good work.

It's not that i want to piss in your pool, but the very nature of your business does bring up questions about legal maters.

People have questions and since you are posting in a public discussion forum, you're just gonna have to deal with these questions comming up, wether they be sincere or not.

I dont think it was dealing with the questions... but the fact they come up in EVERY discussion, sometimes multiple times... I could be wrong though...

Precisely.
Chapterhouse shouldn't have to deal with the constant whining and nagging, and the rest of us (who've done the reading) shouldn't have to deal with the annoyance of people who didn't bother to do their research before flapping their gums.

They sure as hell have to deal with legit questions, otherwise they are free not to post in a public forum.

I'm just saying, when you advertise your product like this you have to expect questions, in every thread.

We have dealt with them, numerous times and to the point that many folks in Dakka now probably have a pretty good understanding of the IP legal laws in a couple of countries .

As a customer though, what is your concern? I do not think GW can hurt you as a customer and any legal issues between ourselves and GW are just that, between our two companies?

As a customer, are you invested in GWs legal concerns say with another artist who they may have stolen ideas from? Is there emails being sent to them (send emails to them regarding one, Michael Moorcock -google him)? It just seems that people are not so much concerned about whether the products are legal rather then the drama involved (which there is none..).

Great googily moogily those look awesome. Now if there were only examples of paintjobs on my much lesser level of talent

Great stuff, love that there are companies providing accessories. As for the whole repeated copyright discussion; perhaps a disclaimer you can copy and paste in your OP's would help proactively prevent the broken record effect. This hobby sort of attracts rules lawyers and that kind of mindset probably lends itself towards this issue; not to mention that copyrighting and issues sort of relating to it have been heated topics in the past.

Ok. So, what are your questions that seem to bother you so much?

Or are you simply advocating for peoples rights to constantly keep asking legal questions and including personal opinions on legal matters to be pointed out in each and every chapterhouse thread?
Sure and I agree, there is nothing prohibiting anyone from asking questions about legality etc but then there is also an annoyance factor to consider and that is something that can be easily circumvented by the search function coupled with a minuscale usage of forethought before jumping into threads typing in the exact same things that numerous persons before have already done.

The perfect analogue to your point could very well be me and my friends following you into every single post you make or figure in and keep asking you about your country and city of origin simply because I see a Swedish flag alongside your cognomen, and to keep doing so despite others as well as yourself already on numerous accounts, having clarified said questions.
Nothing would prohibit me or others from doing so and I could very well claim you can "sue yourself" since YOU post in a forum you can expect questions regarding YOURself but alas, the annoyance factor combined with a complete disregard for the search function, would make such a prospect least to say, aggravating.

Maybe I should do some army posts in painting soon.
I´m thinking about taking pics of my next painting project and have it as a kind of tutorial.

WOW! Should maybe put those pics on your store to show how certain bits look on the minis. Those storm shields are nice and should be pictured with terminators. They are actually bigger than I thought and will be grabbing some soon. The new novel and your products have inspired me to start my own Salamander army. Thxs.

We are still trying to puzzle out if it is legal to show GW models. According to some IP laws you really shouldnt show another companies models, but then again you are free to show them whenever you want to sell "that" model.

I think we would be ok, but I rather not tempt fate...

I don't know anything about legal stuffs so Im not sure if its cool or not (but IMO your helping GW... peoples liek your stuff they got to buy GW stuff right?)
