Im digging the female inquisitor. there is only one thing that jumps out at me. Her arms: they look like they were intended to be long gloves and have a lip where the hem would be. You should file it down so there isnt a big lip of "skin" where it transitions back to her shirt. the boobs and stomach are a pleasnt change from everything metal like rest of 40k. it has flavor, i like it.

You should put helmets with face guards on the storm troopers and they would make a good bloodbowl team, the vikings. (purple and gold are the Vikings NFL team colors). Joking aside, they look good too. I just think the barrels are dwarfed a little by the bolter. i have seen lasgun barrels on shotguns (for hellguns) and that looked a little more "to scale" but that is just personal preference. Besides it is getting a little down to the wire as far as the TOMG goes. 2 weeks until deadline....

Thanks. That lip is actually like an armband, on the other side of her arm it twists into a celtic like pattern. I worked a little more last night on her and painted from the shirt to the band in the purple and worked more detail on that band.

I realize the barrels are small on the bolter but what are you going to do? Me? Just going to go with it lol. I am going to leave the shotguns alone, as in later stages I will run a squad with shotguns and meltaguns.

Maybe you can work the bolters to look like a battery pack is on the top or something, that would justify the large size of the bolter. Since it is a hellgun it would require alot of power so the battery would have to be large.

I really need to get some more done on my tau. i ended up not getting any pictures up last night, my lamp bulb died and I was tired. So i didnt do anything. I had planned to get lots of painting done yesterday and today because we were supposed to have them off after accountability in the morning. However, we just so happened to be the only shop in the squadron working... Yay Us! Thats what happens when you work for a bunch of dirt bags.

I might run a power line, not sure yet. I think next week or two I will have a conversion day at the store (and post stuff online) for the deathcult assassin team im putting together, lots of chopping, clipping, pinning...etc.

As for the mold making project that wont be until January.

Here is my first squad of stormtroopers. Now that I see these pics up close I can see I have some touch up. Im thinking of going with grass and snow bases, comments?

These shotguns will "count-as" hellguns until later stages in the competition when I can field a full unit of shotguns and meltas.

Looking good. I think snowy bases will be a pleasant detraction from the norm. They will also go well with the snowy forests and hills we have at the store. I can see the arm band difference now from what i was thinking before. It breaks up her arm well. However, i would like to see the back side of it so i can see the designs you were talking about. Nice to see your making use of those scouts you haggled from me (

just kidding).

I got a little work still to do with her, going to do some layering with paints to get rid of some of the "messy" and "glossy" look. Some dry brushing too. Still undecided about the weapon.

I'll get a 360 view of her after I get her cleaned up. Probably use the same techniques that I used to clean up the other inquisitor.

I really like the flying combat servitor but the one on foot seems a little too Necron and disjointed for me. What if you were to replace the necron legs with Space Marine or Cadian legs ? You could then reenforce them with a plasticard exoskeleton and make them look bulky enough to hold that Big Gun up.

EDIT ... Um, yeah ... maybe I should read ALL the pages of the thread rather than typing a post when I get to the bottom of the first page !!!

Lol no problem. Im thinking of getting rid of the necron's lower body and building a spider like leg assembly (well 4 legs that is). I got some plastic card and plastic tubing, probably mess around tonight and see if I can pull it off. I only have a few weeks left to finish one full squad of stormtroopers and my retinue.

I planned on getting some work done tonight, however i didnt get home from my doctor's appointment until now 715. As it turns out, about 2 weeks ago my surgeon was killed biking to work. He was hit by a van. Its wierd, normally things like that dont happen to people you know.

Would it be possible to see the two inquisitors side by side? I am thinking of getting some of the wyrd minis and doing a project with them and would like to see how they scale with 40k minis.

Well his job can be extremely demanding at times. I do know for sure of a few instances that may have caused him some very long days (and nights) recently.

Yeah been working overtime and have had to kill several projects. I already had to kill my terminator project and intergrate them into my crusade company for Sol Templars. This projects is getting canked for way to many reasons. I am passing the mini's onto a teenager that plays at our LGS every now and then, 80+ guardsmen should boost him up lol. Sorry for lack of updates and/or cancelling this project. Mods will probably be killing this in the future. Keep a look out though I have been secretly finishing a genestealer cult army 1/4 painted, fully assembled. And I have another secret, secret project that birthed from this failed project. So keep an eye out, I appreciate everyones inquiries and support.
