But the way the pins are, the joints won't be solid? The way I did it; was two pins per joint (not the toes), this made the leg one piece that would never break. Worst case scenario a drop would result in all the glue joints breaking and the titan acting like a limp doll.

True, but the knee piston is like a support rod that prohibits downward movement or sag by the lower joint once it is set in position...

The ratchet ridges hold the upper joint permanently in the set position - with the pin in place, coz you have to physically open the joint to reposition it

I thought about drilling all the way through with a bigger pin, but the experimenting showed good promise from only one side

Thats why i'm still in dry fit mode... I'm making sure my investment lasts, and your comments help me plan and decide... Imay take your method, once i've decided upon a stance... the dressmakers pin idea is only a holding phase while I decide

Looks good though... all up

Right on, I don't remember mine fitting so well that those notches could serve as a ratchet stop mechanism. Makes sense now that I think about it.

All three Titans up to the waist and free standing… still in dry fit mode – still not one drop of glue

How do the stances look… from what you can see

They're looking good, Lord Castellan - only thing I'd say is that th feet on the right-hand Warhound need rotating out slightly, based on the above pictures.

They're too static, do you plan on basing? If so, go crazy, even without basing they're really able to be posed extreme and still be solid.

If you look at mine, the pose is rather dynamic for no base. All it really is, shifting the feet so they aren't next to each other.

I actually think the rounded protruding pin heads look quite nice.

Jabbakahut@ The thing is mate, is that they are still dry fit... I can't be extreme at the moment, these stances are for reference

I agree with your comment and I really love your Titan pose... I hope mine look as good

All I can do right now is move forward or back... if I move sideways, the hips will fall apart

As I said, this part of the layout is for experimenting... because I drilled out the pistons and free wheel pinned the joints, I can do anything until I actuall glue

Here are some more views

Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

I'm actually diggin the way the pinheads look. I vote that ya leave em on when you glue, but that's just me.

And looking at all this is causing my cursor to hover ever closer to the "add to cart" button on FW...

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

I agree, I like the head of the pin.

Hi mate, I'm still alive and still have a dream... but, not progressed much... lots of drama in life

However, my plan still is to "find a pose" and superglue the legs up to the waist

Magnetise the weapons and magnetise the hull to the waist and magnetise the head to the hull

hope that helps
