Fluff. Most of the models. At least they make some effort into showing medicore/poor painters like myself how to paint faces, etc. I like that. I also like the few times that they suggest how to build something yourself (like terrain) without trying to sell something. It's rare when they do that without saying "use GW flock, GW paint, GW blah blah blah".

I love the models, I love the 40k setting, I love the washes and the foundation paints.
I love their mail order customer service, too. Lightning fast and no questions asked. Among the best in the industry, if not the best.

The models are the best on the market. The rules are pretty well balanced when you consider the complexity and choices that you get between armies. Perhaps most importantly it's easy to find a game in most areas. I've played some really great games but I always come back to GW because once my group starts to get bored it's impossible to find more people who play. If I want to start playing a new game it's even worse.
