You might want to use sand/gravel from the citadel basing kit instead of bits of sprue, it just looks cheap. Also you might want to thin your paints down a little, it's a bit thick at places (on the helmets, faces and chest).
I'm not sure if it's the camera or if you've added gloss for the shine on purpose, but if you want to avoid the shine, use less water in your paints (dry the brush on some kitchen roll after washing it).
Also consider drilling the gun barrels, it takes very little work and adds a lot to the model.
The yellow trim on the company commander looks a little dull, you might want to consider highlighting it with a lighter yellow or possibly a very thin layer of white.

I can't really tell if you're priming or not. The painting has improved, but it's still extremely blotty and uneven. Your best bet would be to either paint a couple thin coats of white on their greatcoats and then do your bleached bone, using Devlan Mud to shade it after it dries. That or just undercoat the mini in white and paint black on all the dark areas. I find method one easier for doing cream coloured robes though. Basically though, it all comes down to just taking your time. I get the impression that you're putting more paint onto some of your units to cover blotches before the previous coat is dry. Slow down and just use less paint. You'll see improvements the more time you spend on it.

No prob. I'd also suggest grabbing some actual basing material. You can use sprues, but you should only use straight sections, and you should mix them in with other basing material - namely simulated concrete chunks - so that they look less like sprues and more like girders.
If you don't mind your bases -not- being urban though, you can always go to a pet store and buy a big bag of fishtank gravel and use that for basing. It's the same stuff. The plus side to this is that you can also buy the stuff in like 10 or 12 different colours, so you could do them on a blue, purple, yellow, or even red-earthed world. Great stuff that is.

You know, compared to your earlier stuff, this Dwarf looks very, very nice. I'm extremely impressed with how much you've improved. Are you going to strip down and redo your early Guardsmen? I'd love to see some of them done up now that you've gotten a much better reign on the process

Plasma guns? Jut ebay or bits order them.
Don't forget to sand or file down the greenstuff so that it's flush with the surface of the Chimera's hull. You don't want lumpy, fingerprinted circles down the sides of your tanks.
The NASA symbol is hard to see. If you could get a clearer pic, that'd be ace.

...My name has 2 'L's in it
Anyway, glad to help. Oh! If you can get ahold of one of those LEGO Katanas, you should give one to your Afro Guardsman. Afro Samurai FTW!
The key to the rebreathers lies in your choice of tools. You'll want some actual sculpting tools to get a rough shape - GF9 sells a decent set that you can build on with other items you find for only $18.00 CAD. Get the basic shape of it, and then press the faces flat with a Stanley Knife (X-Acto, if you use the brand name). Then, either poke a series of holes in a pattern on each "Cheek", or wait until it's nearly dry and gently cut slats to create the venting on the sides.
The visors are something I usually do -before- the mask, so that I can get the proper shape sculpted around the nose and eyes. Again, a set of tools and a stanley knife are really all you need. If you need to cut off excess, wait until it's nearly dry so it doesn't get malformed in the process. And always, always use something for lube. Water, Skin Oil, KY (Yes, people use bum grease for sculpting) all work well enough. Some folks use vaseline, but it tends to be a big problem cleaning it, as it's oil-based and so it tends to cling like a schoolgirl in her first relationship.

Steel Legion: GW, Ebay, Dakka ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/319913.page)
It still looks like (For the Sentinel and Russ) your not priming them, something I've found that works for painting tanks is Airbrushing. It's fast, easy and doesn't leave annoying steak marks from brushes (Not that brushes always do).
GW offers a guide on how they paint chimeras that I used for Russ's. Just swap out the colors you want, and the rest is pretty easy.

Good luck, and keep up the good work!
