That is a good point MM, however, I do not like makign modular btis fro the sake of modularity. If I put something on a model I like for it to be plausible. For instance; were I to put a back pack on a character, there will be appropriately placed harness straps by which to fasten the pack to the character's back. If the pack is modular then I have to choose between makign the pack look liek it is simply velcroed to the character's back OR I sculpt the straps on and defeat the prupose of modularity all together.

In the end I haev decided to give this guy a bedroll, belt pouch, water / mead skin, seax knife, thorwing axe and money purse.....I am still trying to decide what weapon type he will carry. His pose works for both two handed battle axe and for sword and sheild, or dual weilding ( though I don't see the character as dual wielder ). Dependign on what I choose he may get a sword scabbard as well......

BUT the main reason I am posting is to let everyone know that the new release are in hand and ready to ship! There are however some quality issues with Merry STigandr and Ymir the white which will prevent these figures from shipping. I trying to get this matter resolved as quickly as possible and I hope to have it corrected very soon, but it is likely to take at least a couple of weeks. The good news is that the next batch of figures is ready to go to the caster, the bad news is that I have not yet received the original by which I can repair Ymir and Stigandr...... SO they will be held up until I DO get those figures.

Anyway the rest fo the figures are awaiting your order!

Personally I like all the accessories. Since I'd be using these for D&D etc, I like the figures looking like adventurers on the move rather than the unit champion who left all his gear back at camp. I love your work so far, keep it up!

Most painters don't want to paint something that looks like an adventurer should look. They want to paint something that looks like we ENVISION an adventurer... which is without the trappings.

You could always make the extras separate, so they could be used, thrown out or (like most good modelers) added to something entirely different. : )

Eric

See, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this. Perhaps it's just me, but when I see an adventurer I see someone who has, in addition to the classic hero look, everything they need to survive a trek in the wilderness. Backpack, rope, extra weapons, torches, whatever it be, I say throw it on. Give me more Sam-and-Frodo in the mountains (pots and pans a-clangin'), less of this guy with nothing but a sword.

I agree with the calls for realistic equipment.

LotR is what I imagine adventuring to be like, not some prancy fellow with a mule train to carry all of his gear.

Looking great as usual. I need to put together an order, now that I've got some extra cash. Also, I'd love to see some painted shots of some of these guys, if you have any.

Hi Tre,

do you have a distributor in the US yet? You had emailed me last year about carrying these but you didn't have a distributor back then.

Sam did have a packpony, they just made him get rid of it. Poor old Bill.

I received my order of Weglaf and Aurelius from RBG last week and was blown away at the level of detail and quality that Tre' delivered. The mold lines were very light to non-existant and every bit of detail is present. I thought that the models would be slightly larger than they actually are, probably because the photos posted here don't have a scale comparison, but they're pretty much on-par with Reaper's Dark Legends. I'd like to thank Tre' for his excellent work - I'm looking forward to picking up more from RBG.

Many Thanks Gavin. I am right now sorting out a few quality issues on the Ymir the White figure, this will be the SECOND roudn of fixes to that figure....ugh...... and I am working on fixing a few issues with the Cleric figure as well. Teh other figures of the most recent previews are all good to go and have been cast successfully, I am just waiting to get these other two fixed and in for the fabrication of the production moulds so that all the new releases can be availible at one time.

I will be overnighting the repaired masters to the moudlmaker tommorrow and woudl then imagine mayeb a couple of days or so before the castings are on their way back to me. At which point I will begin takign pre orders on the new stuff.

Mmm some lovely figs here, and I have to say some of the best female faces (and figs in general) that I have ever seen.

I'll be following new releases with interest, and I can see me using many of these amazing figs in Mordheim in the near future.

Gotchya!

Forgot to say I am loving some of the poses you model the figures in. Really excellent posture and movement in the sculpts.

I've never bought anything but a GW miniature before, but I may make an exception for those grey dwarves. They remind me of the dwarves from the animated Hobbit movie! If you have a newsletter of any kind, may you PM me so I can give you my email address? Thanks!

New releases are now up for pre order!

All new releases, AND the repaired errant releases are now availible for pre-order. COnfident shipping date set fro the 26th of March.

Unfrotunately Alevialdo will nto be in this batch. There were some pretty serious collapses in the original during mouldign that would have just delayed the new release for too long. So he may or may not follow in the next releases.

Ah Ok then.

Here is the Njorn footman hero I talked about not too logn ago. He would not fit into the master mould with the rest of the figures in the last btach so he had to sit that round out. He will be availible in the next batch of releases headed to the mouldmaker on tuesday next... or so....

I am tempted to helm him ( as I prefer warriors to be helmed if not armoured ) but I wonder if that may be a marketign mistake. So I am askign you guys.......again.....as per the scehdule.

So what sayest thou all?
