Actually with all the weight from the head and arms, it seems to balance very well and be very solid and stable now. If it ever topples, though, I have extra magnets of the same size I used on the arms, and I could use those.

Also, now taking suggestions for what color to make the prominent central eye of chaos on its carapace. Any ideas?

An oily black, with a red slit pupil.

That might look pretty cool! Any suggestions on how I get an oily black effect?

Also, keep watching this space - my wife got me the chaos warhound titan for christmas! I'm going to have my very own titan maniple in a couple years at this rate!

Also, come summer vacation I'm going to really bear down on my Slaanesh collection and get it all painted. My goal is to set a record for largest Slaanesh 40k army of all time, and I think I'm on my way there!

I'd pick up some gloss black paint from an alternative supplier, then put several coats of varnish over it. Could work.

As an added bonus, you could have it cry blood red tears...

Well, it's all but finished. The teeth under its chin and on the top carapace need some highlights, the central eye needs to be finished, and the crotch cables need to be bent into shape and stuck on, but I think that might wait for someday when I'm bored and just want to put that finishing touch.

I just realized too that the way I normally carry it is a hand beneath the crotch, and another up top to stabilize. If I put the crotch cables on, I can't carry it that way anymore. I really need to get a base finished for it!

Did more work on the central eye and painted the shield generator coils to have a glowy blue inner core. Painted crew and stuck them inside, as well as highlighting the teeth on the carapace. Pics to come tomorrow probably!
