But for all those people talking about how Marines keep GW afloat: yes that's true, but why lump them (pretty much) all in to one year? If they spunk all their major marine releases this year, what happens next year?

Alright, I didn't want to reveal this info, but I have a list of the 40k releases for the next few years

Grey Knights
Black Templars
Necrons
Blood Ravens
Dark Angels
Ultramarines
Sisters of Ultramar (replacing WH)
Dark Ravens
Ultramarines
Dark Eldar (Actually, this ends up being retconned into a loyalist marine chapter for some reason)
Blood Templars
Black Angels
CSM
Imperial Ravens
Blood Fists

You somehow missed three tau releases in that bunch.

Cool more Ultramarines. I think the SW codex is getting a little outdated too IMO.

Orks - 5200
Ultramarines - 2900
Imperial Guard - 740

You know, I had my reservations about the upcoming Black Ravens release ; but I think my fears will be dispelled once we all see the other half of the story in the Dark Ravens codex.

There are just too many unanswered questions, that probably won't be solved with anything short of a retcon of the already illustrious Blood Templars fluff.

Edit - I also like how there are 14 projected releases over the next 2 years.

Actually, you should see what they have planned for the Sisters of Ultramar codex. There are also rules for some of the Orders Minoris, like the Brides of Guilliman.
