Pip my boy you just planted a revolting image into my mind.

Congratulations!

Just wanted to add something real quick

I once had a fellow war gamer walk up to me and point to my new fresh out of the box chimera and comment on its lack orky attitude

I hate it when I plop my crimson fists on the field only to hear from passerbys:

"Where's pedro kantor? Can't have a PROPER crimson fists army without kantor"

But 20 , 30 ,40 year olds as well

Here is one more i think is rather pathetic to hear from wargammer to say to another.

They look down anything not bought new directly from GW or FW , hence ebay or none direct purchase as inferior product or 2nd hand.

Also, i cnat stand it when people complain about someone stole an idea from someone else, GW pretty much based thier ideas on something else, Like gene stealers and aliens (xenomorphs).
I can go on about all the things i hear from people about 'X stole from Y' forever, but seriously you should ignore these people, stupidity cannot be cured.

That what i had to hear, and not only as a wargamer either.

Well you see, I was wargaming in prison, and

we had a local kid that was like that. I got his CSM for 10% of retail because they were second hand inferior product.

yes, you WAAC tournament types devalue your miniatures.

I don't win all that often with my tau (mix of dice and I'm not spectacular with strategy) but there is one person that any time I beat him he feels the need to give me advice, but when I lose there was nothing I could have done to beat him because hes "just that good".

I hate packing up all my gear all my gear to go the FLGS, or nowadays GW, to go to an announced event, i.e. 2500 point WFB mini Tourney, and the only other person there is the outrider guy running it.

I hate when people who enter painting contests enter stuff that isn't theirs (JUSTIN W of ALBERTA I"M TALKING ABOUT YOU BUDDY) and then walk off with all the tourney trophies by mistake and then conveniently lose them.

It's not even that. MOST of the time where people are "looking down" on someone who bought on eBay or outside of the FLGS...it's because of the fact that they come in there, acting as if they're entitled to gaming space/time even if they do nothing to actually support the FLGS proper.

Once again , you assume that it takes place in a FLGS ,
and not a GW store. If i purchase GW produict , even by ebay or purchasing someone that wanted to sell their army
its still supporting GW.

And no , this almost never happen in a FLGS because unlike GW shop , the players there are really tight knit.
Having such a snobby attitude in a FLGS wont get them very far.

Oh , of course with the usual rules like it should be assembled and painted etc etc.

Please, show me a GW that actually has barred you from playing because you didn't buy from them directly or a GW shop where they've encouraged someone to not play against you for not buying from them directly. Go on, I can wait.

If someone chooses to not play you because you didn't buy directly from the store, it quite likely means you did/said something that they feel is a bit cheeky on the store's premises. It happened quite a bit at my old FLGS, namely because there was a certain someone who did nothing but complain that "even paying for shipping, it was cheaper for him to buy online than to support the shop because they only gave a 25% discount".

My painting will not win contests but I hate when someone looks at my guard and says "Hmm, pretty good, nice shading, but the color's are too bright so meh."

Why start pretty good and end on meh? Not everything in the guard is dirty and grimdark, they can have nice things...

ok I couldn't keep a straight face for too long

My biggest peeve by a wide margin is listening to people try to give me or other players completely stupid advice when they clearly have no idea what they're talking about. Also when they just can't admit that a given scenario would probably have them beaten, so they make up ridiculous tactics and scenarios, like "I don't care if you're castling with monoliths, I'll just outflank with all my Vendettas and phase you out turn 1" or "You should really take wraiths, I use them to wipe out Harlequin squads like 9/10 times."

Especially when people complain about balance when their opinions clearly reflect the fact that they failed Probability 101 (or never took it).

I hear it a lot with regards to 'crons both at my store and in forums.

"Wah, 3e/4e crons were broken because warriors could kill land raiders!" Yeah, at a 1/54 chance per shot. That motivational "Necrons: my basic gun can kill your strongest tank, this is fair and legal" makes me rage so hard.

"Only take a lord and like 100 warriors, it's all you need" No, this was never a good strategy, jesus

"You need to take like 40 warrors or you'll be too easy to phase out"

I didn't take the time to read this but ya'll relize Warcraft and SC were suppose to be Warhammer and 40k games but they were never licensed so Blizzard was born and changed them to SC and WC and thus what they are today. O well *shrug* I now wait to be banned for that lol.

My girlfriend picks up and model and says,"Pew, Pew, Pew!" while pointing it at me.
"Oh I forgot to shoot with those guys, you don't mind if I do that now, do you?"

"Those guys need to seriously get laid...." (a guest of my neighbor said that the other day, after acting really interested in what my friends and I were doing for about 30 minutes)

And I don't like reading the abreviations here. There are entirely to many and quite frequently they aren't even correct. So I spend 10-20 seconds trying to decipher what someone was trying to talk about. Not much of a short cut.

i might have wrote something incorrectly in my first post,
but i was meaning to say, that my friend that also play
40k said that too me.

For all you sending my PMs about how wrong i am
i just want to say, that it was my friend that said that if i did not make myself
clear before. Personalty i already knew almost everything you were trying to tell me.
Except that Star craft was possibly a GW game, i always thought that the 2
broke up during the warcraft 1 era.
