Well... the blood drop I just sculpted out of green stuff, that was easy... the chalice though: it's half of the Space Hulk chalice *cough green stuff press mold*.

It looks to be made from a couple of MiniatureScenery kits.
One of their Imperial Ruins line.
This one perhaps.

I got 4 mdf boards and glued on some old books just to add height, then poured plasta of paris over everything and then rendered it with an old dish washing scourer.

Then dry brush the lot.

It's my first attempt at this and I must say I'm realy happy with how it looks, given how simple the process was (and the fact I had no idea what it would look like).

This morning I finished off some detail and added some more grass, here is an updated pic:

Have to say that is pretty impressive, wardance. The road looks great.

How stable are the models? It looks like the surface is quite uneven.

Cheers Silver, the board is fairly stable, if I would have to make it again id make a bit flatter but its definately playable. There is no problems with cocked dice so far.

Here are the 5 tables worth of terrain (tables included) as they were last weekend for our 50 player tourney (we had larger numbers than the "major" Sydney 40k tourney held on the same weekend (although they also do WHFB, Infinity, FoW, Ancients, BB and other games as well).

The Stargate table.

Industrial/refinery table. This is 80% of my Hexagon and Platformer terrain kits. 2 pieces sat this tourney out needing some repairs.

Edge of the industrial zone table (with container park) and the 3 Pegasus Gothic sets.

Opposite angle on that one.

Grassland table with Battlefield-in-a-box GF9 ruins and stuff.

I like the colors and texture. It gives the table a lot of character.

It did get a black wash last year.

I need to go over it again and hit it with some rust patches as well.

Given that it was all inaccessible for the better part of a year (small house so it was stored at the in-laws - who are an hour's drive away) afterwards.

I don't work quickly unless there's a need. As I won't be at BiV next year (or ever again, while it is held in May) there's no real big rush.

Thanks.

I'm building a set of 3 Ultramarines themed objectives for my son's army (the other two are a wrecked & burning rhino and a downed hero/veteran).
