No. It never really happened to me, it's just how I get my collection bigger. Okay kidding... kidding (see I'm still a kid)... I have lost a few figs from people at store games who 'accidentaly' pack them up only to see them turn up a month later and the guy can't remember where he got it. Usually it's an honest mistake and the guy returns the figure but there was a dude who insisted he got it as a gift and sported my warwalker in its origional paintjob, forgeting that it was me he lifted it from. He did look like a total prick when I showed him my Eldar army, all in the same color scheme as his 'gift' walker. That was the closest I ever got to actually having a fig stolen from me. Sadly, that guy wasn't a 12 yr old either, he looked to be in his 30s.

Retroactively applied infallability is its own reward. I wish I knew this years ago.

I'm 13 and I kind of can't stand most other guys my age, which is partly why I got involved in the hobby to begin with. My FLGS always had an age range from 16-30 and it was nice to be able to talk to people who were smarter and had more experience than you (it's usually the opposite).
A while back, a few friends and I were at a GW store (my FLGS stopped business a year ago) and we saw this kid come in, maybe 11 or 12. In horror, we watched as he picked up a boy from the assault on black reach display and had it charge the dreadnaught, making sound effects and handling everything terribly. Of course, we couldn't take the boy out of his hand or tell him to stop, because his mother was right there looking approvingly at him.

Ugh. Dumb people shouldn't breed in the first place. If they do accidentally spawn yet another mistake upon the world, they should at least have the decency to keep them locked in a cage in the basement, instead of parading them around in public where they are everyone else's problem.
