Ah, our pennies are too small and the only coin that size are the $1 and $2 coins and that would make for more expensive bases!

Great stuff. Any chance you could take a picture of a model on a kerr and king stand right next to a model on a standard battlefront stand? I've always wondered how they look literally side by side. I've often been tempted to get them but wonder if the lack of bevelled edge would irritate me too much.

If you look at the Anti-Tank guns and Anti-Air on page two, the Commissars are on standard BF bases.

How annoying is it to assemble the katyushas? I've always loved the models but have a great fear of assembling and cleaning them. Look good though, nice work!

So here is the whole force. I will add to it in the future, but right now I never want to paint another bloody Russian again in my life!

There are two models, the old type and the new type. These are the new.
The old ones are a total nightmare, the rails come in individual bits and dont fit together well at all. The new type are alot better, the rails come in one piece and all you need to do is bolt on the rockets over and under the rails and put on two end detail rails either side. Having said that the new kit is not without its problems, metal does not lend itself to precision models and the fit is not perfect by any means, there is a certain amount of chopping and bending to be done. I would class them as moderate as opposed to hard.

Ive added two Light Tank COY's and some ATR:
Tank's are all the new Zveda plastic kits. Fantastic little beasts, no glue needed, 5 parts to the T26, 6 parts to the BT-5's, go together like a dream in under 5 mins.

Looking good, BT-5's are really cool tanks Do they have rules in FoW yet?
The kits look great for the low price. I think they would look even better with some tank commanders in some of them

They fit in just fine, BF are a little on the chunky side but there's not a major difference.
I use the Soviet early war PDF which can be found in the early war development area on the FOW website.

I'm looking at fleshing this out now so that I can play any period between 1938 to the end of 1941. With that in mind I've done some tube arty to use instead of the rocket battery for early battles, to keep costs down they will use the trucks and command stands from the rockets.
I've ordered some of the Zvevda early T34's and KV-1's to give me Tanks for later 1941, have those up soon.

Hmm, not sure what the issue is, but I can't say I like those KV's (the model, not the paint )
