One man's arrogance is another man's well-earned pride.

As long as the records can be confirmed, they are most certainly a source of credibility. For example, when it comes to Orks, I'll take Dash's word over some mouthy forum warrior.

I also consider gallery pictures a source of credibility, as well. If a poster has a well-constructed and painted army, I'm more likely to take that poster seriously, because polished armies tend get more table time, and experience always trumps theory (those MkI Charger gold cards in my desk at home are testament enough of that).

What I think GW really needs to do is follow the example of Battlefront, or Privateer Press. PP take the crown with their very developed tournament and league system, and online tracking website (that provides brand new scenarios and even rules to use with your existing miniatures on a weekly basis!). Of course, I seriously doubt those devolved walruses that run GW could organize something like that, so they should just do what Battlefront did, and make RankingsHQ their official tournament tracker.

@Dr. Cheesesteak

Shall I rephrase?

People who keep a record and then put it in their sig to show to the WHOOOLE WUUUURLD are doing it for their e-peen then?

I'd rate myself as somewhere around 8(never thought about it before, but I win way more than I lose... except against Droofus! Curse you!) and I'll play anybody. It's not about "beating people for fun" for me though, I just enjoy the game of 40k. I don't revel in a win against a sub-par player, but I wouldn't classify it as a waste of time.

What Monster Rain Doesn't tell you is Droofus and him are an item...and he lets Droofus win.
