Reecius Was really hoping to see you up against Shane in round 3. His 231 Orks vs your SW razor spam list would of been the game to watch for sure, rather you both had easy round 3s as did Geoff, with you having the tougher of the round 3 opponents. Yet, you not playing Shane was the best possible outcome for you since you would need to table him to win and with so many vehicles in your list giving up so many VP vs his 231 orks for 14 or 15 VPs.
As to the BAs in the power rankings? Hard to say really since they are still so new and highly doubtful that their best tuned list has yet been discovered much less them having a chance at taking the ard'boyz in the finals. I agree though that BA aren't in the same power ranking as SW, since Phil Kelly pulled the Gav Thorpe 3rd Edition Eldar with them and the army doesn't pay for its abilities properly, though IG gains even more and pays even less then a SW. I think the BAs is a solid codex but really pays for all its abilities, maybe even too much in some areas and for this reason they will never be a Tier 1 codex in this edition, despite all their gimmicks.
If the missions stays the same for semi's and the finals, I think orks could very well take it. Their footslogging army is so high in model count, if being over 200, that the chances of tabling them is so remotely small. The other factor is to advance to the finals you will need masacres and highly doubtful that this could be earned and unless they pair up vs another horde foot army in round 3, their chances of winning with a massacre is very high. Only two armies I see possibly tabling a ork horde would be Leaf Blower ( they lose if they don't table ) and possibly tyranids should they make it that far in the rankings. Again the other factor is always luck in the pairings and luck in the dice rolls and Mission 3.
Good Luck to all those still in the Ard'Boyz going to the semi finals. Congrats
